Actually if I remember right in this case he lost his phone and it was turned in. In the process of trying to figure out the owner they found pic and videos of a grow operation.

Anyway I had an old macro pic I took with an actual camera on my phone as my wallpaper. This thread convinced me to change it. Even though it was the only pic there, I wouldn't want even the hassle of them thinking that I smoke weed if my phone were lost. I never took any pics or vids with my phone. Not necessarily out of security, it's just that I had a better camera.

Don't buy that. My phone's ownership info is on the FIRST page or pops up when I turn it on/off. BIG BROTHER was snooping. Which reminds me.......I gotta delete some pics from my phone. I feel so disgusted being afraid of my own govt. Liberty......... soon!!!

I have a smart phone and it will never be used for taking pictures of any that I don't want any cops to see if it got lost or what ever. The lesson is don't take pictures of anything that can get you in trouble. Use a camera .like a phone. that you don't carry

I believe there is an option to disable this on iphone,
I always password my phone, and encrypt your hard drives [TrueCrypt free].

You can disable the GPS and other locating devices in the phone, but having weed pics in the memory is just asking for shit from LEO just cause you have pictures. Safest way, is to be smart enough not to have any incriminating photos in your phone period. Smart phone or any other phone with a camera + weed pics = shit fro LEO so who needs it. You know what you grew. So be satisfied with that and don't carry pictures to impress your peeps. It'll just get you in trouble.

But you already had an apartment where you were growing so why weren't you staying there keeping an eye on the grow? To me this would be suspicious behavior. The apartment neighbors would only see you there for awhile when you did plant care. They wouldn't hear a TV at night or your car parked outside. Did you get any mail there? I hope so.

It's one thing to have an isolated house as a grow area and you aren't there much. People won't notice as much. But a house in a neighborhood or an apartment just seems like a ticking bust bomb to me.

Also what about safety. Anything can and will happen in a grow. Lights break, timers fail, wires short, power outage and turn ons can cause ballast and bulb failure, fans break and things can catch on fire. You didn't care about the neighbors at all just you having a grow and the good life.

I don't like seeing people get busted but thoughtless dummies like you need to be taken out of the game.

And since you had pictures on your iPhone I am sure you accessed this site with it and made some posts. So they know you posted all this. They have your password. They have all the pm's you were probably too stupid to delete too.

I wish you luck in getting out of this. I am glad though that you are out of the game and can't kill some innocent apartment dwellers. However, any friends who grow that you visit or clients you sell to will still have to sweat it out wondering how long and where they followed you the last week and continue to do so.

I think the last thing you want to do right now is start giving details of an ongoing investigation on this forum. You've already given enough for an investigator to potentially identify you. You've been promised a good deal, but you can't trust that at this point, and you don't want to incriminate yourself more or ruin any good deals they may offer by talking this thing up online.

Bro, to say it to you bluntly, you really need to shut up, stop posting your story here, get a lawyer, play things cool and calm, and wait to see if this "deal" they're offering is real or not. I would have thought the lesson learned from storing sensitive info on a smart phone would have taught you to keep your information more secure. But somehow the dots aren't connecting for you yet.
