What's new

what was your dumbest mistake in youth?

Being too high on drugs to participate in an orgy with 2 attractive females.

Damn. I've been high enough to rip a huge fart in front of a crowd of people, take my pants off and go for a swim in the Ohio River... But I've never been high enough to not remember whether a 2 girl orgy was a good idea.

Condolences, dude.

Accepting adulthood after graduating college, I shoulda stayed in college forever.

Fuck that bro ! I just graduated college. Sure it'd be nice to have that care free life style again, but Id rather be making money than going further into debt.

Being influenced by some stupid people and spending 2 years in CYA :( Great lesson for a 16 year old to learn!

When i was 8, i and my cousin found a box of dynamite blasting caps in an old abandoned farm house. We thought they were fire crackers. We sneaked and got my granpas lawn mower gas, set the caps next to a small tree, poured gas on the box and then poured a line of gas on the ground,(fuse) for about 20' away.

I lit the match and leaned over towards the gas but i didnt get to straigten back up before the explosion, which was a bit disorienting, knocked us down, burned our eyebrows off and our clothes were smoking. It blew the tree over and melted my and my cousins hair backwards in the direction of the blast. Our faces peeled for 2 weeks and we had to get burr haircuts.

Everyone came running. Big trouble, but they were lenient given our condition. It was whats known today as a "teaching moment" i suppose. Believe me, I learned everything i needed to know from the blast. Today, they would put a child in prison for such a stunt.

not listening to the advice I was given by older people. The only fun thing about it is watching younger people do the same to me lol.

When I graduated more than 30 years ago with my B.S. in Business, I took a job at a small CPA firm because they were willing to pay me more than I was worth.

Hated it!

I started a Software Company by writing CPA Client Write-up Software, Inventory Control and Mailing List software. Before the IBM PC. Looking back, wish I had gotten my MBA.

I have had a couple of businesses and a few really great jobs. I was able to parlay my education and intellect into a satisfying life.

Think of something :canabis: You can do it !

going to the dentist in the middle of a massive acid trip? I found the appointment card in my pocket-it was a lurid orange colour-i had forgotton about it-it said that the appointment was, coincidentally, in 20mins time-so I smoked some hash and went along. NEVER EVER DO THIS. It is not a good idea.

You wont in the future.... trust me. Well, of course, depending on if you actually paid attention and learned anything. :tiphat:

There are few things more valuable for a college graduate to have than an EDUCATION in business admin. TRUST ME when I tell you this - you can walk into any business in almost any field... and have absolutely no issues whatsoever fitting in and doing your job well (obviously talking more about desk-oriented jobs rather than in the field/outside jobs). The degree is worthless, agreed... however the education is not. The material teaches you how to succeed and not only understand, but completely master the economics of the industry you decide to end up working in. Again, all ties back to my original point. What did you learn?

My measly two cents. Carry on.....
