ok some pics guys. everything is coming along famously except for, of course, the clones. with as much shit as i talked about how great my fucking cloning system is, i should have seen that one coming. the fact that the electricity went out and they were without bubbles and heat for the first 9 hours off the branch didn't help.

but i don't wanna : it will all turn out fine. the deep chunk clones are looking pretty good. enjoy!

i needed bigger containers for the mamas, even though there isn't much left up top i could tell they were rootbound.. looking a little yellow and peakish even though plenty of nitrogen.

(viper x trainwreck root porn. ):

didn't have much soil so went pretty heavy on the chunky perlite. will have to water a bit more often, but quicker-to-dry soil mix will probably make the mamas happier i'm thinking..

looked around the house and had a couple cat litter containers. should work perfectly, they are about 2-3 gallons from a glance. just cut off the tops and wallah.

i put a nail in the wall and got the eletrical strip up off the floor. probably a good idea since it is a foot away from the cloner. lol

finally a few shots of the bloom room. bubba kush x deep chunk, and g-13 x deep chunk. currently sexing. should be able to tell within the week.

ok, great news--saw hairs on 3 of the g13 x dc and 1 of the bk x dc!!!!

and of course, saw little balls on 3 of them. can't remember but think it was 1 bubba and 2 g13s. sucks, i hate this part where you have to throw away perfectly healthy plants but i don't have room for males so out they go lol here's a few shots of the little balls

the hairs weren't showing up worth a shit, but def can see them. i'll get pics up quick enough. i repotted the four confirmed females to 3 gal bags, which they will finish in, same with any of the others that turn out female. here's a shot of the g-13:

also finally saw some roots on a cherrry clone. was wondering if they would all die or somehting [whew]

ok everyone, unfortunately there was only one more female out of the six plants left. lol but in the end i got 2/6 bubba kush x deep chunk and 3/7 g-13 x deep chunk females. not a bad ratio. all i need was one female of each, really, so this just gives me a few more to chose from. rest of the males got chopped, and the last female bubba went to a 3 gallon bag.

seeing roots on three more cherry clones and one of the vipers, so breathing a sigh of relief there. the clones that turned out to be from male plants were culled, and actually had nice little root systems already so the cloning must be back in check (big fucking knock-on-wood lol)

yeah bro i got mad snow round these parts. a foot prob. rare for me. girls arent liking their ten min. sprint to the garage for transplanting. anyway i used to do 24 hrs. of light for veg but i swear its bunk. i dunno im not a scientist but imo plants grow better and show sex quicker with some dark in their lives. i use sunblazes for veg (t5ho) and ill never go back to 24. peace!

nameless: glad to hear confirmation on the benefits of dark during veg, many thanks man. i used to rock the Sunleaves T5's for veg, and actually loved them. this time around i already had the 250 hps so that naturally became my veg light once i upgraded to a 1000 for bloom. i even had a thread on icmag at one time, "free your florescent bud pics!" a knock-off of the best thread on this sit, free your bud shots.. lot of people posted some nice shots, believe it or not. i used floro's in veg and bloom for the first year i grew. i always got great results in terms of quality, but imagine my surprise when i switched to hps and saw about ten times the amount. oh well, live and learn.

alright guys, some pics. on all five of the dc cross females, i'm seeing 9, 11, even 14 fingered leaves. craziness. when they run out of room, they start popping out another "tier" of fingers from the center thing. one of the bubba crosses has 2 of these second tier leaves floating up from the middle, and on the new ones at top they are even more prominent. just wondering if anyone had ever seen this before. i've seen buds start to grow in the middle during late bloom on a few plants throughout my time, but never leaves like this during veg. anyone ever seen this trait before? i'm sure it's out there, just curious... (sorry for low-quality pics but you can make out the extra leaves.)
