I have a few new pics of the outdoor OTH and Senor Garcia.

Here's the OTH really starting to fill in with nice long slender and resinous buds. The smell is starting to come on as well. Grass, slight floral to mint, incense and astringents. She is lovely in so many ways...

And here is the Senor Garcia. Just waiting a few more days for glandular ripening as there are very few ambers at this point.

I will get more Bangi Haze pictures this weekend. They are looking (and smelling) delicious.

Hello all Ace lovers, I promised an update on the Bangi Hazes, so let's start there.

Here is Bangi Haze #2

This is Bangi Haze #3

A clone of Bangi Haze #3 and the OTH outdoor female and a closeup of the Bangi Haze #3 clone

These BH's are a touch over 4 weeks 12/12. Another 6 to go. The smell on these ladies is divine. Strong lemon incense with hashy, funky bass notes. They both are very similar in smell and they are really strong.

The OTH clone is really starting to stretch!

Here is a random shot of the outdoor OTH, still chugging along and showing no signs of being in a hurry.

Lovely girl!

For all those who have followed the lone Senor Garcia female, I chopped her a couple of days ago. She could have gone longer as there were only a few ambers, but she had a few spots showing some brown (not mold, but a precursor) as it has been damp. Also, I noticed some of the lower areas were getting hit pretty hard by aphids, so chop it was. 12 weeks at harvest, could have gone another week I think.

The smell is damn near erotic on this girl. If you just put your nose up to her there is a strong floral, almost rose scent. A brush or slight squeeze and she explodes into a deep earth, chocolate, berry explosion. I can see where some of DJ Shorts traits come in on Flo and Blueberry. The OPT really comes through in this F1. I wish I had a male to cross to her for F2's, but alas, my one good male is long gone.

Here's the clone. Surprisingly, very little stretch. I think this plant would be wonderful in a SOG style grow.

I will show her off again after shes dried and trimmed. Not a lot of bud, quite a bit of resinous leaf. I'm sure the low hours of direct light aren't doing these outdoor plants any favors. Might have to remedy that in future years.

I will show off the dried and trimmed Senor Garcia.

Not a lot of yield on her, but I expect good quality. She will jar cure for a month before the taste test.

I am finding a few small mold spots on the OTH outdoors. Rains are relentless this year. Will have to keep an eye on her as I think she could go another couple of weeks. Mostly cloudy resins with no signs of amber. Am hopeful I can stretch her out for a little while longer.

Bangi Hazes are filling in and smelling lovely. Will update with new photos.

Beautiful looking plants, killer genetics, what more could one ask for? I was just wondering what's the lineage of that senor Garcia of yours? Best of luck with them :tiphat:

VanVulpen, Thanks for the kind words. The Senor Garcia is not from Ace. Was bred by Reeferman and is Oregon Purple Thai x Panama Red. From a 10 pack, I was able to sprout about 6 seeds. First five were all males. Finally got a female last grow. I crossed this to a Kali Most and I would like to explore those crosses to find a nice male to cross back to this female. In that way, it would be 75% Senor Garcia. Reeferman does not carry this cross anymore. Would love to find it if I could, but they are finicky plants to grow.

I also crossed my good SG male to Sour Diesel and got several phenos. I didn't take clones but have more seeds. Here is my favorite pheno at about 80 days. She went 91. Take care.

As promised, here are some updates on the Ace Daze adventure.

First, the Bangi Hazes

#2

#3

These girls reek of lemons, floral and funk like onions. Very strong smells about 5 weeks in. Guessing another 5 to go.

Here is the Old Timers Haze slowly going along.

Smells of floral, citrus and spice. Very very nice. A few spots had brown leaves turning to mold after many rainy days. I am keeping a close eye on her in case more should develop. Still thinking I have a number of weeks to go as most hairs are white and trichomes are cloudy but no amber.

Here she is in clone form indoors just starting to flower.

Salud!

Coming along nicely. My green Thai dom oth seed plant took 30 weeks of flowering, but that was indoors.

I am about 25-26 weeks from seed, so getting there. As mentioned, I fight daily with cutting small spots of Botrytis. The weather has been too damp and cool even for this airy sativa. I'm hoping weather improves for a week or two to give more time to finish. Thanks for the reply.

Here's a small sample I took because of botrytis at the base. I cut it away and will sample this piece in a week or so. Not bad for resin formation at this point.

I'm smoking some oth tonight - the pheno has cottonball buds with very few fan leaves. I was already soaring and just mixed some nevils haze into the bowl and I'm flying through space. I'm definitely gonna make a cross of these two stellar hazes.

Grown indoors, this strain can be a challenge esp from seed. They do much better when started from clone with no more than 1 week veg time for the roots to set.

HHHG. Sounds like a great cross. Introduce a bit of 'newer school' vigor into the OTH. I've got a clone of the outdoor green OTH going indoors right now. Wants to keep stretching, so a bit of bondage is in order. Good to hear she is hitting you well, I'd love to see pics of those cotton balls.

Nice thread Ur Humbl! Some great looking plants in here.

Thanks rasputin. I appreciate you checking the thread out.

I wish you all a great New Year Ace fans. Hoping for a better start to 2011 then finish of 2010. My Father in Law passed away very unexpectedly a few days before Christmas, so this time has been spent with family in grieving and trying times. I will miss him dearly, he was a powerful man who needed few words to commend the respect of many. As a result, my garden has been a bit neglected and showing in various late flowering deficiencies indoors. Outdoor Old Timer's Haze was plagued by many small spots of botrytis requiring careful examination and clean up. I think the weather has improved enough to allow her to finish strong.

Sorry to hear about your F.I.L. Sounds like he was an amazing man.

I hope that the weather cooperates for the final push of your outdoor ladies. What Latitude are you at?

Happy Growing.

Thanks CannabisPatient for kind words. Yes, he was a complex man with good and bad but he was an honest, fair and caring man. Many will miss him, but much of his legacy will remain. It rained for many days after he passed and then one day, we see a double rainbow dipping into his backyard. One of the finest I have ever seen. So too this shall pass.

I have just one Old Timer Haze outdoors entering week 17 of 12/12. Last week has warmed and allowed for a bit of drying out. I have had a few days go by with no new 'dead spots'. Latitude is low 30's a few miles from the sea.

Here she is a few days ago.

Looks to be very thai dominant. Spindly, delicate bracts with nice resin content. Aromas are strong and complex. Very spicy, but with metal and floral notes as well. I believe she will be ready soon, sometime between week 17-18. I have a clone running indoors, but she is a spindly beast. We'll see if she can be tamed.

Here are the Bangi Haze, now in week 9. Should be wrapping up about same time as outside Old Timer's Haze.

Bangi Haze #2

Less dense buds on this one. Also, less glands. She does clone much easier.

Bangi Haze #3

Trifoliate. By appearance alone, she is the keeper. I have a sickly little clone that is finally showing positive signs. Much denser flowers with very nice gland production. Both smell very similar and strong. I compare these almost with sour diesel for strength of odor. Onion/garlic with notes of lemon incense. My better half can't stand to be around me when I come in from handling these beauties and the smell lingers for quite some time. I could see this one giving a lot of so called 'elite' clones a run for their money. Properly dialed in, this one looks to be a champion yielder and I'm betting the quality of finished product is going to be right on the money! There you have it, a shameless plug for Ace crew.

I know some of the folks who have visited enjoyed the Reeferman Senor Garcia. Here is the clone (showing signs of calcium deficiency late in flower).

Saludos!
