2000w Tent Grow

Hello all and welcome to my first thread.

This is my first attempt at growing since late 2006 and also my first time using a tent.

I am using the Sun Hut XXL 4'x8'x7' tent with 2 1000w air cooled HPS lights.

Pure Blend Pro Veg and Bloom (for soil) nutes have been used.

The soil is a mixture of potting soil, perlite, worm castings, blood meal, bone meal, lime, and peat moss.

I got the genetics from a friend and it's supposedly Sweet Tooth. It's definitely not the Sweet Tooth #3 that I grew out 8 years ago but they do have a very sweet smell.

nice broski...how's the temps going so far?

Temps are just fine. The hottest it has ever gotten at the top of my tent is 87 degrees. Most days it stabilizes at 85.

I'm lucky to live in a region that is VERY cold in the winter.

Come summer, I'll have to figure something out and perhaps buy an AC unit.

Well, I've got the tent set up so that the only air leaving the tent is run through an inline carbon filter and then blasted out the side of my house.

I can't smell a thing until I open the tent up.

I have it set up so that a blower draws air from the top of the tent, pushes it through the 2 lights, then the carbon filter, then to outside.

Air from top of tent ----> inline fan -----> 6" blower -----> light 1 -----> light 2 -----> carbon filter -----> outside

I also have a 4" blower to bring air into the tent. There are 3 or 4 passive air intakes since there is negative pressure created in this situation.

The carbon filter does a great job. When I walk around the side of the house and stick my face directly into the exhaust, I struggle to smell anything at all.

This is the filter I'm using.

The reason I decided to get a tent is because I've only got one bedroom in my house to do everything in.

So my mamas, clones, and vegging plants are all in the same 8x10 bedroom as this tent.

Food for thought if you don't have much room to work with and want to maximize output.

Looks like a Sweet Tooth if I ever saw one, probably #4 but could be #3 kinda hard to tell without smelling them and seeing in person but DAMN your garden is rocking bro nice way to maximize space usage and you picked the right strain! :woohoo:

Did these come from cuts or seeds?

If you rub the stems do they smell like musky sweet grapefruit rinds or perfumey citrus?

Nice grow, I will be watching! :canabis:

They came as cuts. I started with 4 or 5 fresh cuts and culled it down to 2 to be used as mamas. All the cuts I got were from the same plant (which was also originally a cut... I don't know any more than that).

The butter I made from the mamas that I culled ended up being WAY more potent than I ever imagined unflowered plants could be.

Years ago, I grew out both the #3 and #4 and this more closely resembles the #4 in both appearance and smell.

The smell is much more of a perfumey citrus rather than musky sweet grapefruit.

These girls are getting heavy! I'm having to use stakes and cable ties to keep them from falling over.

Here's a pic of my two moms. They are under a 270w HPS.

All of the flowering plants came from these two.
