Hey there, first time grower here, and I'm hopefully posting my pictures correctly. My specs are the following:

Strains:
From Paradise Seeds, feminized:
Ice Cream
Sensi Star
Nebula

From Clone:
Trainwreck
Bubble Gum

Total of 8 plants in a 5x5 Hydro Hut
Had one 400 watt Metal Halide in veg, 22 days (plus 14 days on a windowsill :-(

400watt HPS thru day 36 flower, 2x 400watt HPS day 37 flower to today (day 63)

GH FloraMicro, FloraBloom, plus a little GH KoolBloom in flowering. Sunshine #4 soil in 4 gallon pots.

One girl in particular is gigantic, 12inch cola on top plus numerous other large colas. She is growing large buds on top of the older buds, and as you can hopefully see in the pic (of the largest two colas) she still doesn't have a lot of crystals. I'm thinking she needs at least another 10 days. She also has small yellow tips on all her leaves. Is this something I need to worry about?

The other girls are super-frosty. I've taken samples to dry and test already. I've posted a picture of one of their top colas. Do you think she needs more time too? She's about 10% amber trichomes, the rest cloudy. But the buds look small compared to the large girl.

The trainwreck has been harvested and received excellent reviews.

I've read some people switch back to Metal Halide for the last week of flowering. Why? I welcome any and all comments or advice.

Thanks!~

Congrats for sure on your first grow and welcome. The yellow tips you see are a plant that has all the food it needs plus some extra. At 65 days those look pretty green still to me, but that is all subjective. I would recommend a flush for a week with plain water to finish. Next round to boost your plants to the next level on a budget, I cannot stress the importance of unsulphured molasses from about second week of veg @ 1/2-3/4tsp per gal. to start every other watering, slowly increasing. Giving one good dose about week three of flower @ 1tbs/gal
Nice work on keeping it simple that will make you learn better with less variables to control. Great to see another person taking care of themself. NS

Thanks much nickman and northstate, really appreciate your input. Have done some research (thanks also to faderharley), and have decided to try 14/10 til harvest, plus 48 hours of darkness before cut to enhance trichomes on the big girl. She's starting to show more maturity today, day 65.

Thanks also to those that have viewed - but no other input??
