What, so growers discussing quantity/quality and market behavior is hating somehow to you?

it might be somewhere around the 'ultralight + hemp pollen = great justice' approach to competition.

Not hating on my end. I just don't see this industry as being anywhere near as lucrative as it used to be and feel bad for people trying to put kids through college paying bills etc. It seems kids with money are just going into the hills from outta state and lowballing the shit out of these mom and pops. If I manned up and decided to ship shit out I wouldn't have this issue at all, but after knowing some people that have been pinched with major loads, Going out of state. I'd rather leave that job to others. Slow moneys better than no money.

It's also the fact that all this BS that's happened has only began to happen as of a couple years ago. It's literally a gold rush.

I blame the greedy outdoor growers that grow hundreds and thousands of pounds every year.

Bingo , pin the tail on the donkey. Going larger containers, starting earlier & growing lots of commersh strains ...its now not uncommon to see a rampant 30 light minimum ID shows now to , which the power company is more than happy to sell the electricity.

I imagine it won't be long before somebody takes an ultralight up the coast in late august and drops a couple hundred pounds of hemp pollen into the onshore flow. I wonder what they would do then?

well 300lbs is alot of pollen grains but u still would have alot of area to cover ...wouldn't make even a tiny dent in the big picture .

There will always be the dry months which starts becoming noticable around mid april & june/july in full swing hitting hard in aug/sept/oct. Will see more light dep this next yr to combat later harvests & have quality herb ready for market late Aug . There was not as much light dep as wud have expected this last year but expect that will change soon as more OD growers continue to adapt .

Lot of scrub weed out there , too much & too many peeps jumping in with no skills or genetics . Growing OD takes years to really dial in , about as much as Indoor and ofcourse having the right strains . Of course theres always the commersh like SnowCap & TW which always cola up nicely & give the yields . etc

you would think with all the kids exporting and so much weight being takin OFF the streets in cali it would be a little dryer. finding a good top notch OG kush or Sour D in quantity will still take you a while and will cost most people more than 3k per #..

but anything besides name brand "hip hop" strains = worthless...random outdoors even if good, indoors that got pulled early or nothing too special....basically anything that doesnt smack someones face when they open the bag is barely fetching 2k a lb right now.... back in 2006 some of these whack packs would sell for 3k. now they only get 2k, so all those commercial growers who fuck up arent getting their moneys worth.

really good top notch weed dripping in frost and good smell will still fetch a fair price even in the flood, even on the street. i could still charge 260 an oz locally for some top shelf strains like OG kush, yet barely get 150 an OZ for a no name decent strain like green crack..

its not like theres noone willing to pay. at HHC, an OZ of some anything nice is still 400 an oz, 60 an 8th with a long line everytime i visit...

imo i thinks the drought is only in med legal states. Here 1 gram goes for $20. Just a couple years ago payin $20 a gram was unheard of. I feel like theres a drought of not enough weed here in the midwest. Anyone tryin to make some paper needs to send a few p's my my way, it'll easily fetch 5 stacks a peice

If they are spending 40 hours + a week growing herb and they can't pay their bills than they are living out of their means. It doesn't take that much time each day to tend to a garden of even 20k watts.

Maybe it is time to adapt or find another source of income an use this a supplementary. It really isn't that hard to grow good herb once you know what you are doing and have good genetics.

People had it good for a while and it is still sooooooooo much more lucrative than real farmers who have acres upon acres, even thousand upon thousands of acres can't make nearly a fraction of the same return for time and we don't have to invest in hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars worth of machinery to do it.

So, you guys think you are entitled to a bigger piece of the pie than everyone else? The market says otherwise.

Adapt.

If its real deal Bomb...you can get 4k+...maybe its time revaluate what u think is dank herb :) What you might think is a 10 might really be a 7...just saying....its the real deal....its gone..and you dicate pricing for the most part....truth is...most people who think they can grow the best herb....simply arent

HAHAHA I haven't heard about a drought since highschool.
Back then every summer there wouldn't be shit around.
I remember one summer when a guy showed up with a few pounds of compressed trim and people were knocking each other over to get some, lol.

yea CO is stepping its game up trying to supply the country and shit...but yeah honestly if the republicans take back the white house things probably wont look to good for MMJ.

people were paranoid prices would tank if 19 passed, however prices went even lower when it failed!

in order for prices to go back up again...big time players need to be takin out of the game. warehouse grows, collectives, big outdoor gardens....etc theres just too many growers for a simple "scare" or a few of them getting popped to make any big dent.
