What's new

So I ran into a little problem with my setup before I can even get started

I'm trying to figure out how I can mount the electrical outlet with the bulbs hooked up to the roof of my cab, I have very limited resources and i'm not too sure if some sort of super glue/tape combo would be strong enough to hold it up and withstand the heat from the lights.

I have 2 outlets on each side of the cab and whatever will be used has to be strong enough to hold up the weight of 1 of these (for vegging)

And then eventually 2 of these (during flowering)

Those are the lights that I will be using

Im getting desperate and I don't want to take my cab out of my house to my friends place again to take it apart and work on it

First off let me apologize for the large pics, I only have the shelf up in the cab (in the picture) so I can use it to store stuff on until I get this lighting issue knocked out and its gro time :tiphat:

Hope that helps!

Or just run a screw in the top and use a small piece of wire until you can get a light fixture?

I used a rubber pig tail and added wires with a outlet on it for the light outlet then I cut a piece of sheet metal about 1 inch wide. I then wrapped it around the rubber socket and squeezed it flat thenspread out the leggs and butterflied it and screwed the flat feet to the roof of the cabinet. It looks like a 8 with the top blowed out and flattener out

Do you have any pics? Im a little out of it right now so I can't really get a good mental image.

I ended up stacking up miscellaneous cd cases to hold the lights up, its working fine so far, i'm doing the "dry run" right now while i'm waiting on these seeds to pop

Just a quick question, would 90 degrees be considered too hot? This temp was taken right by the bulb though, and I don't plan on letting the (future) ladies getting that close anyways.

plants can pretty much grow into the cfls, its just real hot right by the bulb , nice small space, cant wait to see some plants in there, id use some little screw in hooks, they cost about a dollar, peace

I can't wait either! I'm going to start up another thread once its time to put these seeds in the dirt to document my progress in case some more problems arise!
