I bought a Milwaukee pH600 about a year and a half ago and I am happy with it. Pick up a bottle of 7.0 pH calibration juice and you will be good to go.

any of the cheap "POS" meters on Ebay do the job. I've compared my $15 TDS meter to my friend's Hanna/milwaukee meters and had almost the exact same results. I didn't even calibrate mine.

My bluelab multimeter has been working without incident for two years, so I trust the brand. My Milwaukee's would always develop shorts in the cable, and the Hanna's needed constant calibrating.

!!! is right on the money. Id recommend that very meter he posted. Its cheap and does a great job. I wouldn't personally buy an expensive ppm/ec meter unless it was like a bluelab combo guardian constant read. PH i dont go cheap on but when dealing with tds i always recommend the cheap ones especially the one he posted.

I have used plenty of these n because they ARE Cheep - Buy two... an get the calibrate solution at the grow store... an that way you can make certain they're accurate by testeting against each other.

My truncheon wasn't cheap but its 5+ years old and I've never even changed the batteries. I do run to waste though so I'm not constantly checking my rez....

I have used the HM Digital for about 4 years now, I have no complaints. The only time I did have a problem was only a few months after getting it, there was an internal short, one call to the manufacturer and I had a new meter to my door in two days.

I'd get a couple of the cheap. Would be extra nice if it has the button that holds the number ---- I've about broken my neck trying to read those sometimes.
