Nice space. Doest look like you have to pass any state or county/city inspections. We could never get away with hanging bulbs with no hoods or the parabolic ones. Everything has to be Code/Fire/County/State/City / ADA compliant UL listed etc. Here is a $500K / 200K HPS grow for a MMC that is a little more like a FDA/USDA grow space. I have seen grows as big as 2000K out here.

Good luck, dont burn yourself on any of them bulbs. I cant wait to see your spot filled up. It will be beautiful.

Super clean looking setup there moonshine. What did ya'll get for the half Million? I bet it included a lot for design and permitting eh?. Your plant numbers are super high in that set up too I dream of being able to do scrogs like those...but plant number limits here obligate us to grow trees. I'd love to see some more pics of that warehouse if you've got em.

i had a pow wow with the plumbers today for my visit. gona have 2 inch pvc main line, with 1 inch thruhulls off the buckets for the feed cycles. im hoping we can flood and drain 50 5 gal pails in under 10 minutes as i prefer the shortest irrigation possible.

DMT

You stated earlier that it was going to take about ten minutes to flood 50 5 gals.

I read some where that the plants start to "suffocate" after about 5-6 minutes of submersion. Not stating this as fact. I believe that the plants/roots could be stressed and of course its not fatal. Have you noticed any thing along these lines on your other grows?

hey buddy. very cognizant to detail. lets say it takes 5 minutes to flood the buckets to the top, it will drain in another 2. it doesnt men they will be submerged totally for 5-10 minutes, just the whole flood/drain cycle. we are doing it all diy, so it will take the build and a test to see where we are at. i also add hyox at1.6 ml per litre every 2-3 days, and the extra oxygen always boosts plant immunity, vigor and root health. plus were are going to put venturi's in all the feed line to add extra 02 as well. plus my mixer pump wont be in the rez, it will be attached on the bottom outside and loop around into the top of the rez for total aeration of the solution, d

How many square feet are you flooding at one time? It looks like your trays are 4'x16', maybe.

oops, my answer is in your qoute lol, d

DMT, what were you're findings when you looked into water cooling your lights and CO2 generators.
I'm sure that's something you guys looked into and I would of thought it would be practical in a grow this size. Just wondering why you didn't go that route.

that seems like alot of plants for a med grow moonshine. i know alot of folks in different states and its usually like 20 plants total. 8 veg 12 flower or something like that? its different then here. we get plant amounts based on our ailments, and its federal, so way different all in all. love scrog btw. especially when u add a v to the abbreviation, d

just out of curiousity what are yall budgeting per month on the powerbill. if going on california residential rates without subsidizing a 420k would be 84 grand a month here!! (a 5k is typically 1k a month in power..420/5=84) im sure commercial has the hookup, but i bet your power bill will be more than most companies leases...

Here as a MMC with an Ofsite Cultivation permit your state license is based of patient numbers. Each patient is allowed 6 plants (3 veg/3 flower) .

For the $8K license you are allowed 300 patients. = 1800 plants. 900 veg 900 flower. for the $12K license you are allowed up to I think 700 patients. = 4200 plants. 2100 in 2100 out. IF you have a Licensefor Manufacture of Infused Products (ie sodas, edibles etc) you can grow UNLIMITED # of plants but it ALL has to be turned into food or hash products. With the MIP licesne you have to have a commercial kitchen that can pass inspections.

The MMC (Medical Marijuana Center) I grow for has the $12 K license. The spot Im waiting on to pass permits to open has a MIP license.

Its all state regulated and inspected. The Dept of Revenue even created an enforcement dept for the MMJ industry. It is here to stay. They will inspect grows. They have been in our spot 2x.

Each room has about 40 K and there are 6-9 plants per K.

Nice work DMT,i'm not sure if you had any hand in the hvac installation but i was wondering can you run multiple air handlers off each condenser?

Oh, yeah. You American's dont use chillers.

Us Canadians get to use water chillers to cool our grow rooms. Mine is only using 2 amps right now. Ice cold Canadian water!

Scroll to the bottom of the page.

Wow thanks for the link I'll call on those next year. Do you just run the 3-5 gals per min down the drain or do you have a pump and exterior coil. I'm assuming its the former. Thats seems like a lot of water but a lot cheaper than running ac in the winter. HM

I have a 1/2 inch hose running from my shower head in to the chiller and a 1/2 hose running back out in to my tub.

It runs pretty much all day. At night i just turn the water up a tad warmer. I control the temp in the grow room from the faucet, day or night.

4 fucking amps and I could probably cool 8k right now, easy.
