If you notice everything I ordered is Indica or mostly indica. I have not found a Sativa that wont send me into a panic frenzy so I stay with Indica's.
Okay Gang, today is day 64 and I just flushed with 32deg water chilled to temp with 3 bags ice. "Shock Ripening" Been wanting to try this for awhile so here we go.
All nice and flushed now lights out for 3 days, then harvest. Let's see if she packs on the trichs, or if it a wives tale.
First run in 2yrs going down in the books. Bout time!

So yeah, found out this morning my PH pen was way off do to the battery going dead. So when I did my last flush last night with cold water I inadvertently raised the PH to 7.6. Arghhh.
I hope it doesn't have to much negative effect on the shock ripening and flush. It's always something.

You may be right. Went in with a head lamp today, and the trichs did compound themselves nicely. Big fan of shock ripening.
Learned a lot on my first grow back. Cal Mag is your friend. That and dolomite lime were my two biggest missteps which I will have on lock next run.
Feeling pretty confident I want a few entries on F.A.M.L.Y.S forum. Been a goal for a awhile.

Hi All,
After a long hiatus I made a few mistakes but it was a learning experience, and for all the hiccups along the way, I can't complain to much, especially since I just grew what I had on hand.
Let me apologize up front for the poor picture quality, but my camera sucks, and my Iphone actually took better pics than my Nikon Coolpix.
I had two crosses of Tribal Vision but only have pics of the Mendo Purps cross, which by the way is a keeper and a great SOG plant, come to find out. May run it that way next time.

Wow, Lokes... Great work. I'm trying the defoliation technique next run myself. Thanks again for giving my gear a run, looks like they worked out well, those buds are gorgeous. ThePablos got some really nice Super Tribal Jacks in his last run, too.
That Tribal Vision male, man... From the looks of it he did the same thing to the Mendo Purps bud structure that he did to everything else he touched - blew it right the fuck out. Even the Tribal Vision 1st incross I tested had buds twice the size of (and more dense than) the mother TV, with a much faster finish time. I'm thinking it's partly the triple punch of Bangi Haze, Sweet Pink Grapefruit and SWT#3 on the paternal side, those are all very large and quick producing lines. Also, there's some discussion around some of the Cali purple lines being related to DJ's work through a common ancestor, so the Blueberry in the TV might also play well with the Mendo. I think the landrace Malawi on the maternal side comes through in the kickass hybrid vigor in all the outcrosses I made with the TV male, since Malawi is almost nowhere to be found in most modern genetics, and expresses a lot of dominance in most F1 hybrids that I've seen grown. The original TV female I grew was 25% Malawi and still had a lot left in her. Took 15 weeks to finish. Hybrids with the TV male seem to clock in right around 10 weeks.
Also, the potency and psychoactivity of pure Malawi Gold is legendary, though I've never had the privilege of sampling it pure. I know that my Tribal Vision female was some serious Alpha Centauri shit. I tested the ceiling of the high once - sat down and took 27 iced triple-perc bongrips of TV in a row, evaluating each one. The effect never stopped increasing, and at hit 27 everything around me just turned to liquid - not a visual hallucination per se, but a strong sense that everything was moving around all Waking Life style behind what I could see, and it got so intense I couldn't even force myself to go to hit 28. I didn't get anxious or paranoid, it was thoroughly enjoyable and fun. I just didn't need things to bend anymore.
That Mendo Purps stuck around in my garden for 2 years simply because her herb tasted so completely amazing, and the first few weeks you smoke each batch you're like "wow, this is great shit!". But then the tolerance kicks in, and the high gets supremely boring, and it basically stops working. I'm hoping you find something in those girls that holds on to that rosey/grapey/lavender flavor of the Purps but with some of the crackling psychedelic energy and reduced tolerance buildup from the TV in the high. That would be some keeper shit there.

So yeah congrats man, back in the game like Jack Lalanne. All kinds of strains, like you said - a little more dialed on the pre-mix with lime and cal-mag or epsom and whatever, an ounce of prevention - and maybe another couple bags of dried and primed medicinal herbs - looks tasty!
PS: When using two or three lights I think a light mover would be great, with it and a great air exchange system, nice blend and good vibes - should be real efficient
