I need help, im new to hydroponics and dont really know a solution that works well for hydro. I was wondering does anyone have any suggestions about what nutes to use? If I can get a few different opinions that would be nice.

What are you using right now? I also grow in DWC (deep water culture) and I use Advanced Nutrients 2 part Sensi Grow and Bloom. House and Garden makes good hydro nutes as well. I only change the reservoir completely if the plants start looking sick. I maintain water level with top-ups of tap water and I maintain PPMs and PH daily. It's really not that hard.

right now im using general hydroponic Grow as well as 3d grow...I had nothing at the time and it doesnt seem to be hurting them too bad...I was thinkin about getin sensi grow and bloom that does sound good. I have to neerly fill the resivor because the roots are just taping into the water, im waiting for them to grow long enough and i might lower the resovior more. I can never really full empty out the resivor but i get most of it out, do you think that might be a problem?

What are those hoses going to the bottom of your buckets? I thought you were running a recirculating system. I wouldn't lower the water level. It makes your roots thicken up and turn rope-like in the exposed areas, and rope-roots are nice and strong, but they don't absorb solution. You want to maximize your absorbing area. I'm running late for work or I'd post more advice. I'll come back on tomorrow with some ideas for changing your water. You don't need to do it often though.

Dude. I got a simple and easy GH nutrient schedule. Week to week with veg and flower. You want me to PM it to you.

P.S. Looks good so far brotha man.

thoes little hose things right now are submerged because I have the resivor at 30 gallons...normally they are used so if any roots where out of water there is little sprinkler system that hits the roots to keep them wet. I suppose Ill just keep on filling it to the top if that doesnt mater. By the way right now I have them on 24/7 with a t5 panel. its veging them out nicly

Here is a post from a very experienced grower that will help you with your water level decisions:

heath robinson said:
The level in the rez is set so that the water level in the bucket is touching or a couple of inches above the bottom of the the inner bucket [or net pot] (the one with the holes drilled in it). The reason for this is I dont like cord roots (the type you see in bubbler bucket grows) to me this is wasting root space.

Here are some pics showing what I mean, these aren't my pics I am only using them to illustrate my point. If you look closely you can see that the roots nearest the bottom of the pot are like cords, this type of root develops when you have a gap between your nutrient level and the pot. I prefer not to have this type of root system as the cords do very little other than support the weight of the roots below.

Here are the roots in a Aquafarm and as you can see they are quite different, this is due to the level being set higher than the pot, and the recirculating nutrient solution. You might notice in the next two pics you can see the water level on the pots. This is the type of root system you should strive for.

Try GenHydro's FloraNova, needs a little calmag if using RO water.
