Dutch Passion / soil grows

I've personally never had a problem with Dutch Passion.

Seeds are a living product so are subject to stress factors such as Ph and EC levels. Over fertilizing and over and under watering.
As well as the growing environment being too hot or too cold. So it's not always easy to tell.

well I got 10regular power plant seeds (dutch passion), trying to germinate them for over a week now, and only one come out. The other seeds are stubbornly closed.

I wasnt expecting 10 out of 10, even with 4 I would be more than content, but having only 1 plant out of 10 seeds kind of freaking me out.

The problem is only DP has powerplant (nirvana's is an F1 hybrid)...
I ll probably have to buy from then again hoping not to throw away another 40euros

dp sucks at least the brainstorm and strawberry cough IME,Theres to many other real breeders to choose from.

My MasterKush Fem not only hermied, one of them was completely male, only one I've ever seen do that. I grew about 6 strains with that setup, nothing hermied except the DP.

One of my real beefs with DP is that they had DJ Short's Blue Heaven, then literally replaced it with their so-called Strawberry Cough (which plays on the name of the famous clone but apparently contains very little of those genetics), using the exact same text from the Blue Heaven description. On the French page they even forgot to replace the words Blue Heaven. That was years ago, and it STILL says Blue Heaven in the description on the French page. There's just a level of intellectual dishonesty there I can't abide.

The bombest white widow I ever smoked came from DP stock, as well as the 2nd best blueberry I've ever had. You gotta look for those keepers!!

If you have the time ,space and patience,Personally if I wanted blueberry DJ would be the one.I do believe alot of new growers buy there beans 1 because of the price+bs descriptions and DP is on every site for seeds more than 1 selling strictly there stock under diffrent names

DP stock is not worth it! Ever!
Let me add to the long list of names who have had such bad experiences.

Only experienced with Power Plant and Strawberry Cough from them and the SC was TERRIBLE.

When your strawberry cough has absolutely NO sweet smell and only peppery aftertaste, you are doing something wrong! Their powerplant was fair, only experience from 1 seed and pheno years ago though. Regardless, its such a waste of money for the prices to charge.

IMO DP belongs in the price range of GHS and Nirvana, perhaps even cheaper.

Feminized genetics are a myth.
Hermis are Hermis
What is the reason again people run this stuff? They somehow believe it saves time/space.
If a grower has a female that they want to experiment with for production reasons I get that.
For any seed company to try and sell these beans is ridiculous.
If you don't have the time to sex out a pack of seeds than why are you doing this?
There are plants that will not hermi ever. These are the plants you want to find because they will save you much more time in the long run.
As far as DP releasing six new fem strains it sounds like they got six new clones. Then what they let those herm and self-pollinate so they have there new strains?
Wouldn't good bagseed be about the same thing?
Boy am I hating:)
hope your x-mas was good. no great.

I don't doubt that many have had success finding nice females with femmed beans.
My point is that there is no difference between a femmed genetics and hermi genetics.
No matter how they were produced. Stress is stress.
I am not interested in female plants having male flowers.
If you want to risk it and having stock that you really should not breed with than go for it.
I see a good male as not being the end of the world.

In my experience with DP Blueberry, herming is not an issue unless you've stressed the plants somehow (you'll see balls by week 2.5-3). If you've treated them so-so, you'll see a small handful of nanners around week 7, which by then is really no big deal. Treat them right, and you'll be greatly rewarded. One of my several BB keepers is a DP BB pheno that smells like Skittles with a touch of lime and fuel.

Other breeders' Blueberry that I've grown weren't as sensitive. You have a very little leeway when growing DP BB and there are more than 4 phenos. I still wouldn't say DP is a crummy breeder though. Mazar and Skywalker were great when I ran them.
