With the Bcuzz Coco Booster you want to be tapering that down so that start of flower your at 1ml / l, Dropping down to 0.5ml / L from day 14. Then completely stop application from day 35.

Do you always run your pH at 6.2 in coco? I always go between 5.5 and 5.8

Hiya herb

I'm using the Bcuzz Coco Booster all wrong then, I'll have to do a follow-up run and change my app rates. I used none till day 14 then I applied it at 2ml per litre.

I use PH 6 in veg and the first couple of weeks of flower, 6.2 after that. To be honest, I've never had any PH issues at anywhere between 5.5 and 6.5 in coco.

One of the two DIY fed plants just suffered one of the strangest plant injuries ever. We had a minor earth tremor that dislodged it from the upturned pot it was stood on and snapped the petioles of two of it's largest fans so I had to remove them. Let's hope the drastic loss of foliage doesn't ruin the yield, I doubt it will but it can't help.

I chopped the larger Volunteer yesterday at 42 days. I needed to clear space so down she came. She was ripe, plenty of ambers and not many white hairs left, this has to be the fastest plant I've ever grown, I had a Hindu Kush many years ago that was done in 45 but better at 50. She isn't very smelly but is very resinous with very hard, solid buds. I trimmed the bottoms off after 2 weeks in 12/12 so all the buds were a decent size and worth trimming apart from those two wispy branches you see sticking out that got stuck under the canopy. She gave a good yield of pretty sticky trim which is always nice as I love making hash. If she hadn't had the top 4 inches burnt off her main cola she would have yielded quite well I think. I've been smoking the finger hash all day, she gave me a nice ball of that, and for the first couple of hours I didn't think it was very strong and like it hasn't got a lot of smell, it hasn't got a lot of flavour, just lightly hashy, but I've found out it's a creeper and gets rather stony after a couple of hours, I first felt it in the neck, found it harder to hold my head up, so it's not lacking in potency, just a bit of a creeper stone, I like it. Remains to be seen what the smell/taste of the buds is like after they've hung to dry for a week and had a week in the jar.

While this bigger plant was done at 42, I'm gonna leave the three test plants to 50 then they will definitely be done. I'm gonna get a few cuttings of this plant ready to go outdoors next year, I'm at 56.5N so only very fast plants stand any chance here as September is almost always cold and wet and turns plants to mouldy much, this Volunteer stands a chance of being done by the end of August so I think I'll chance sticking a few of them in the woods in some guerilla spots.

Day 38 for the test plants and they are nowhere near as far along as the big one was at 38 days for some strange reason. The Bcuzz plant has yellowed a bit more and another large fan leaf has fallen off, well, I removed it after taking these pics rather as it was about to fall off. Looks like there is a bit less budmass on the Bcuzz plant but a bit more resin. The plant in the middle lost a couple of fan due to that earth tremor which makes it look a bit bare like the Bcuzz plant, the plant on the left hasn't lost any leaves and only now is starting to show some yellowing on the fans. The Bcuzz plant has had 4 days now at ec 2.3 and shows no signs of burnt tips, looks like I can push some high ECs when using these Bcuzz boosters. I'll keep that in mind when I do a second follow-up test run and try to avoid the yellowing I'm seeing this time round as it must hurt yield.

This is the Bcuzz plant, looks to me to have a wee bit more resin:

This is one of the others for comparison:

This plant looks to have a bit more budmass on it:

The Bcuzz one looks like it will yield a bit less, the buds lower down are definitely smaller:

So far I think it's fair to say I'm learning that you need to feed at higher levels when using these Bcuzz boosters.

The Volunteer I chopped has had 4 days hanging at 15C and is dry so been smoking the smallest buds to sample and I like it, it's very smooth and I like the taste, it's soft and hashy, quite potent too, I imagine flowered longer it could get really heavy and stony.

interesting thread FM..thanks for taking the time out...cant wait for the results...it can be very misleading until weigh in and smoke out tests fr density and flavour comparisons :) i also keep my ph at 6.0-6.2 without any issues lol..thanks again merry crimbo

Merry crimbo to you too mate.

I totally agree, the true comparison can only be made when the plants are cut n dried, there are a lot of factors to account for.

I am already planning a second run with these Bcuzz boosters, I realised I should have fed one plant just the base Ionic nutes, one plant Ionic base x Bcuzz and one plant Ionic + my diy boosters.

Next time I will probably do precisely that although I'm also keen to try using the Bcuzz stuff with my DIY booster as I think the two together could be fantastic.

Here's some pics of the Volunteer that didn't get a burnt top, 38 days of 12/12, she is looking great, tons of resin, plenty of budmass, this one has been fed my DIY recipe of aminos. seaweed, humic/fulvic, molasses and I think it's working really well, wish I'd run a control plant that just got the base nutes so I can see just what effects my DIY recipe is having as I think it's boosting resin a fair bit, certainly my garden is as sticky and crystally as it's ever been atm.
