Snow works fine too, i usually add enough to make a thick slush. It acts like sandpaper on the leaf rubbing all the trichy trichs off and yielding some of the purest hash as a result.

I'm also on codeine pills because I have a great deal of back pain at the moment. I'm usually not that slow.
No doggies (or drunk guys lol) at my place....just pure, white snow.
you will take codeine pills but are sqeemish about using snow,( frozen H2o) to make bubble hash ?, take 2 hits of bubble hash and call me in the morning .....Turtle

I would think It would be risky. Though it is a free source of Ice & cold I have to believe impurity's could be caught in the screens from the snow & ice outside. Like small amounts of Dirt etc. Just a thought.
Snow works really well, especially when the ice make ain't workin'
I guess if you live in an area with really sooty air you may have trash in the snow, but chances are the trash will be filtered out by the bubble bags (gee, think that is the purpose of the screen )
