Kindmans Grow

Well, they are doing great, pushing hard, doing their thing, just like I like it.
I will flip them however today, which gives them 3 weeks veg under the 600w conversion bulb. Most of my mid range lateral growth should make it up through the screen during the stretch, the mains that are above at this point will be held back.
BTW, I do not mind taking fan leafs above the screen if they are in the way and block light to adjacent bud sites. I know it is a controversial issue here, and I want no part of it.

I take leaves from top of Canopy myself but try to keep numbers as low as possible, somtimes impossible with leafy strains, like the swissC, took a load off 4 i tell ya bro, above & below.
Coming up to Flush, yeahhh!!!

i think your style of CGE is the only way to get a perfect environment. as long as cooled ligths are used & Co2, i struggle to see how it could be improved upon. I like the HO LED rigs floating about 345w look the Biz & reports make me wanna buy one. Im into Sulpher Plasma MPSP lighting could have a big future in our world(too much $$$$'s atm), but im very impressed with what LED's can do, & little-No heat Sig, cant be bad!
have you seen anything on Green light, it increases Photosynth apparently, there are a few new Green light adjusted Hids, but i suppose it was always there with CMH anyway, reports are looking good so far, interesting.
Your looking Good Bro! ;)

i know who to ask about CGE, cheers!

Harvest time is a good time! (for the first hour at least:))
I've got to read up on some new technology I guess, I've not been doing any reading the last 6 months. There is something to be said for 'just getting in touch' with your plants if you know what I mean.
I'm the kind of person that will constantly 'fuck with' my grow when I read too much lol. (at least I used to)

I flipped my little plants today, I'm worried they are getting away from me,he he, let's hope I didn't wait to long.
I also plugged in my heater strip for the res, the temps were going down to 64 over night, a little low for my taste.

Have a good Sunday ;)

1st week of flower is done with. They are adjusting well. The canopy keeps filling up, which is aided by the lanky stretchy nature of this strain. Actually that is the reason I decided to add the screen on this run. My last run was a disaster, trying to support every little shoot on the plant. This strain sucks at supporting itself lol!
I'm running .9EC base nutes at the time, but there are some other additives in there that bump the overall ec to 1.8. The res almost remains balanced throughout the week, I add 7ml of ph up at the time of res change (ro will drop ph quite a bit) and from there I just use minute amounts to keep it in range. The res is a tat on the 'hot' side (meaning my water goes down a tat faster then my ec, resulting in a strengthening ec, for example: by the time my res is down 5 gallons, my ec went up .1. So in order to deal with this I top of with water (+5ml a/b) ones during the week, which I would need to do anyhow, otherwise I would drop below 5 gallons in my res by the end of the week. By the way I run a 15 gallon res.
Co2 run out last night, gotta run to the hydro store :(
At the time a 20# lasts about 6 weeks at 1600PPM, not bad heh :))

11 days 12/12
EC .9 plus cal/mag and some additives.

They are pushing good, but I think they will be manageable from here.
Their inter-nodal spacing makes them easy to train. It's also a lanky 'weak', as in can't support itself, strain. That was actually the reason I threw the screen on, to help out with supporting the lanky shoots.
My screen spacing is double from my normal spacing.

My old friends the fungus gnats are back with a vengeance:wallbash:
I thought I had the little fuckers under control by adding Bt+I to the res and covering the pots, but the little bastards don't need a open wide pot, they can squeeze right through the gap between the stem and the felt, and where the feed lines come through.
I decided to give the mosquito dunk a try, hope it works.

So, 14 days 12/12 have just wrapped up and all seems well except for the little fungus gnat bastards.
Here are the first little bud site shots along with some canopy shots.
I also crancked up the co2 another 200 ppm to about 1500ppm

Until now I have been cutting blocking fan leafs indiscriminately, with a 3 day break after flip. From know though I will try to let them grow to their final size, or close to, before I take any more leafs. Even then though, I will only take the ones that block major bud sites.
I have noticed before that when I take too many leafs that the buds end up being smaller then they would otherwise and not quite the same quality either. I end up with more of the 'little' buds though.

16 day flower:
The buds are forming nicely, the screen is filling up good as well. I didn't intend for the screen to be completely filled on this one, mainly wanted to use it as support. From the looks of it, it may have turned into a scrog lol.

OK, so here we are at 20 days since onset. I'm happy with the way they are developing, there is a solid canopy, with a very good second and third layer that is currently getting some shade from the upper leafs. As soon as they finish stretch, I will try to maximize light to all bud sites. And like I said, I don't mind taking some leafs if need be, but I also tuck them out of the way when practical.
