400w hps light?

I unplugged my light to move it, and when it shut off the light element had a bright spot. Hope this doesn't mean I gotta get a new bulb Im kinda low on funds atm

sounds like it's time for a new bulb, here's a link to a $9.90 400w HPS bulb. I have used several of them with no issues. they ain't hortilux now, they aren't enhanced spectrum. but to finish out a grow they will work.
if you can't wait for shipping try Lowes or Home Depot they have 400w regular hps for less than what a grow shop charges.

The small white tube inside an hps bulb, the part that actually emits light.. when this glows after being unplugged it means your bulb is shot? Mine, the top and bottom quarters of the little white tube glow for a minute or two after the light goes off. I figured this was normal.
