Alright so a friend of mine calls me the other day and says he has something he wants to talk to me about. I met with him and he wants to set up a grow and have me run it for him, nothing big, 4000 watts. I'm thinking this would be the perfect time to start experimenting with some vertical gardening! But who knows. the room is going to be between 10'x12' and 12'x15' and I'm wondering what you lovely people out there in the IC world would do yourselves. Apparently budget is not really a problem so lets here your most efficient ideas.......questions please feel free to ask.

I had an experienced grow partner, he taught me that you don't say anything to police.

So guess what he did once arrested?

Plain and simple, don't grow weed with others. I never trusted anyone more than that douche bag, and now I can never trust again.

Before you plan your grow, lots of things are important.
Do you live in a med state,in a city or the country,cold winters? All those thing are imperative to your planning.
If your not in a med state my number 1 rule is build a grow that you can completely dismantle in less then 2 hours if a legal emergency should occur. If your in a med state something more permanent and advanced is all good.

if ya do doit get the money from him and set it up on ur own so nobody knows where its at. especially ur boy. call him in a few months and give hime his cut. partners are notoriously not good to have in this unless ur room is so insane u need a crew. but havin him finace it aint that bad if its ur only option. i personally wouldnt do it but thats just my opinion. how many runs did u finish that turned out good and under what? if ur new i wouldnt fuck around with someones money till ya know for sure ur capable of runnin that. 4ks not a huge grow but not small by any means either. it will be work. best of luck can u tell us what ideas u got bout how u plan on settin up the room. i run rdwc and love it for a room like ya got it would be perfect. peace stone oh and dont forget co2

I would find someones grow thread who is doing really good for themselves and copy what their doing.

The first two of things i do before i even bring any plants to the house are:

1. make sure your house is wired properly to be growing. I alway have an electrician come in and bring it up to code.

2. plan out your ventilation. You will need both intake and out take.

Once you got that done all you got to do is hang lights and rock out.

and yes IMO you should go vert. in the next 2 months im switching over all of my gear to vert.

Also I have had 7 different partnerships and non of them have ended badly. Its all about the people you hang out with. if your people are greedy scumbags then it probably wont work out. on a small grow like 4k you can get away with doing it with only one person. with most big grows you almost always need a partner or at least it makes it a lot more manageable to have a partner.

Hahaha thanks for the replies all, should have clarified a bit this isn't my first go around with growing. I've been at it for about 2 1/2 years and done grows from 4 plants in a 2x2 tent to 300 plants 90 in a 6000w bloom room the others in various stages of veg in another room. The 6000w grow was with partners, people i truly believed were my family, and boy did they fuck me hard, circumstances were very strange for it, had nothing to do with the grow, their son got me mixed up in some bullshit.

Thanks for the concern midnight, I like hearing the good and the bad. Doing all the work and taking the risk would be my part of the investment, they would be contributing all the $$, nothing would be coming out of my own pocket except elbow grease. I've had partners before on a 6000w grow and yup you guessed it, ended badly (for reasons un-related to the grow) so this is definitely on my mind and I'm not positive I'm going to do it yet. hahaha running is an option i have not ruled out yet.

I've been there man, other way around though. I had some partners a father his son and his nephew, and i was always trying to teach them about dealing with LEO, and well lets just say one of them retained my teachings like an old sponge retains water.....

I live in a MED state, in the country, the winters can get coldish (night time lows can be as low as 28) but tend to be more in the 40-50 range, Something more advanced is the route I'm thinking about as it is a legal grow! I like the idea of being able to take it down quickly though I've always believed in that philosophy!

I would love to get the money and do it anonymously but that is not an option, they want to come by once or twice a week. Which is understandable as none of the financial contribution is coming from me. I've run a 90 plant 6000w bloom / separate 1000w veg room with plants in various stages of growth. I still call myself a begginner because there is such a vast amount of knowledge out their on the subject of growing cannabis, but I've got a handful of solid grows under my belt and I'm not exactly sure what direction I would take it yet, let me do some brainstorming and get back to ya on that one I need my graph paper! hahaha

Yea I've had both good and bad partnerships, I've known this guy for awhile and he's always been very professional to deal with. Is there any vert threads you would highly recommend? I haven't done nearly enough reading on it yet.

gotta gamble sometimes in life..

imo 2 side by side stadiums 6x8feet 2k each. and youll be around the 8-10lb range.. about 45 minutes a day work. with dirt, pots, and bar bulbs. it costs nothing to set up, easy to use, forgiving and very profitable..

growing its the easy part.. nobdy here meant harm by warning you about the sharks in the water your choosing to swim in.. just be prepared for the worst and youll be happy at the end. 1 run to see if the partnership works and if it dont chop it up to experience.. good luck. check out my albums for system pics and shit.
