Deep Purple... Grape-a-licious~!

HI,

Here's a nug freshly cured for about a month of my Deep Purple pheno... It's a bit of a slow vegger and a plant that is on the small size in stature but there's very little stretch and it's a breeze to grow in tight spaces like my 2 x 4 x 5 bloom closet... I grew this organically in a hot, modified supersoil mix...

Under the HPS you couldn't see any purple at all... It wasn't tell I was trimming the buds with natural daylight streaming in the window that I saw the calyxes are totally lavendar throughout all the buds.

The DP buds have a very smooth grape sno cone flavor. I love mixing it with my White Label Doublegum buds for a grape bubblegum smoke...

Peace~!

First, I must say great pics! Those two pics are the reason I am going to keep DP around for another crop (aside from the fact that I hate killing plants off!).

My only complaint about this strain is that it is slow in veg and pretty much doesn't stretch in flower (AT ALL). This will excite some, but in my case, the light to the DPs was crowded out by stretchier blooming plants (since I run 12-15 diff types at once)...I even had it next to the Querkles and other indica-leaning varieties. Querkles stretched, as did the other plants but the DPs just sat there and budded. I also did notice the purple the buds produced until after taking them out of the HPS...Weird.

I was going to kill all the 3 moms I have of DP because of it's growing traits and the high was only alright (but I blame the lack of light to the buds). I only flowered the 3 plants once so I feel its unfair to kill them off. I will take clones and let them hang for one more run. I will just have to veg them twice as tall as the other plants...PITA. I get the same thing happening with Sour Bubble too though...It needs to be veg'd twice as tall as the other plants before hitting the flowering room because it pretty much doesn't stretch.

You should really try some of their other varieties (my favs are Dairy Queen, JTR, JC2, SpaceJill, and Querkle). Thanks for the info and great pics.

i got some DP as well, i decided to keep 2 moms, both unique, one is a fast vegging large calyxed plant, and smells and tastes like a grape kush.....and the other is a really slow vegger and makes really really tight hard buds and is really fast in flowering, and she tastes of pure grape candy,

both phenos are pure purple, like all over, the leaves, the calyxes....only the trichs are not purple

looks great man! I ran deep purple last fall harvested in the spring heres mine they look similar same shade of purple yours is a bit more bright mine came off the plant like that but darkened
