Anyone who tells you that they have it figured simply isnt at terms with their own ability to understand. I think a person can KNOW the truth, but being able to convey that truth to another human.... impossible.

It makes people comfortable to believe they know whats going down, so they do it, you did above in the quote, you cant fathom the things you said dont exist and that makes you confortable, theres nothing out there that I DONT KNOW! lol

Nah...my bad I guess I didn't explain it well enough.

I "know" only that we/I don't "know". That is what I was trying to say. Not that "I" was the only one who DID have it figured out.

And I'm afraid we never will. Since we weren't there...we CAN'T know how the universe started. Any "scientist" that tells you "we're seeing light from the EARLY universe that is just getting to us" is full of shit. I find it impossible to believe that the universe started from a point...expanded FASTER than light...in fact SO FAST that our solar system was built, and we populated it...ALL before the light from the "big bang" could reach us?!?!? Huh? No...I think they're full of shit with their theory.

Most of the physics theories are full of holes. They only work in the mathematics. Well duh! Mathematics is like computer programming or writing...you can MAKE it say just about anything by changing the rules. Human languages are man made by man made rules...you can SAY anything you want...it doesn't make it REAL. Computer languages are the same...change the language and you change what the computer does...but it's still just a man made illusion...reality didn't change because the computer said it was so. Mathematics is a man made system and as such...we can change the rules to get the equations to work...it STILL doesn't change reality. Just because math says it's so...doesn't necessarily make it REAL.

What's going to happen is that on the 1st January 2013 all the crazies are going to disappear off the face of the earth and be replaced with duplicates who never believed all that Mayan nonsense.

What gets me is the mayans are thought to be able to predict centuries ahead of thier time.However,they didn't have enough foresight to see they would be extinct within a short period of time.Yeah,and oswald got off 3 shots with a single bolt action and hit a moving target.

History is first written by the winners and then it's sanitized for the "well being" of those who lost but we have to keep around because genocide looks bad. It's always being rewritten.

When you get right down to it...we know about as much about history...as we know about "science"...or anything for that matter.

Example: There are ONLY 2 direct mentions of Jesus in ANY early original writings. AND those 2 direct writings were themselves hearsay. they had both "heard" of a preacher doing this or that. Jesus NEVER wrote one word! His disciples didn't write ONE WORD. There are no "Christian" writings until Paul, some 70 years after Jesus' supposed death. Paul "is" Christianity...the official version anyway. Christians should study the early sects. The Gnostic teachings are interesting. YOUR modern "Christianity" is NOTHING like the "original" Christians. When Constantine got a hold of it...it became politicized...big time. In fact it was a political move for hime to adopt Christianity for Rome.

The Mayans were scooped up by the same alien astronauts they depicted in their stone carvings...as food. Humans were "seeded" on earth to grow and fatten up... Then they come back and enjoyed the smorgasbord. In fact, they enjoyed their meal so much...they expanded us to the whole planet. Oh boy...they're in for a treat when next they arrive...almost 9 billion!

All kidding aside...I say that ALL the time about things... If the Mayans were so smart...why are they all gone? Why didn't THEY take over the planet? Psychics are the best...if you're so good...why the hell are you working at a carnival? Or economists or stock pickers who aren't billionaires. Warren Buffet can pick stocks... Nah...MOST people are incompetent and or full of shit.

Crazy thread. Can't believe it's still open. I wouldn't worry about the Mayans and 2012.

Me and me only would worry about austerity and the global sovereign debt crisis, but that's probably just a conspiracy too. Fox News, CNN, and CNBC says the economy is getting better so I know it's true.
