Can anyone recommend a booster pump?

So I just upgraded to a Merlin RO, and to my disappointment, I realize my water pressure is at 29psi. 40-80 is the recommended psi for the merlin, so I need that darn booster now.

Can anyone shed some light on the differences between prices? Hydrofarm being the highest price at $329, and other ranging down to around $100. I have read up on the different options, but Im looking for first hand experience and opinions. I already spent hundreds on the RO, I'd like to save some cash not paying for the hydrofarm name if I can... Unless the hydrofarm is worth it.

Thanks

Do an ebay search for shurflo 12v is safer than 120v but you need an adapter. Booster pumps seem to be a high mark up item from RO suppliers and they all seem to use shurflo brand pumps

you sure? Cuz both hydrologic and hydrofarm sell the "aquatec" brand geared solely for the merlin...

if u spent hundreds on a system, why cheap out on a pump that supplies this expensive setup? sounds like u know what to do..go with your gut

lol not rocket science..but why not just get what the manufacturer reccomends??? if you are using a dwc system is a pump not considered the heat of the system?? all pumps are not made the same...

a pump is a pump, but some pumps are build better than others.....i always like to get quality stuff, especially when its the heart of my system....cheaping out just leads to issues and down time

Every booster pump for a home RO system Ive seen is a simple diaphragm pump so as long as you match PSI with GPH and duty cycle you are golden my beef is with the markup that RO vendors have on these products (400% or more)
