GrowCab of a Frozenguy

Hey IC. This thread is about the grow(s) I'm doing and will be doing in the new growcab I built. Its roughly 4.6'L X 3.8'W X 8'H.

Built with 2x2's, earthquake safe .
I built it to run a 600wHPS on the bottom (50" ceiling)
with a veg/mom/clone chamber on the top left and dry chamber on top right.

I also started searching out new moms from some a new genetic pool. Germed:
(3) Bog - Sour Bubble
(2) DJ- Blueberry

I got 5 females. Flowered them out and kept two Sour Bubbles and one Blueberry as mothers (seen below) and have since cloned them twice. The first set is ~28 days into 12/12 after ~five week veg, the second set of clones have been vegging for ~10-11 days so far. I was a little late getting them cloned. The first set vegged a little longer then I wanted due to old bulbs, but they got replaced half way through and are being used entirely for the second clone set.

I actually cant find the pictures of the finished Sour Bubble #1 but I have some flowering right now.


So I'm building another cab for clone set #2 that is currently vegging. Clone set three, which will be cut in ten days, will be vegged/flowered where clone set #1 (currently flowering) is. Veg time I'm thinking will be about 25 days. Anyways, here are some pictures of what is currently flowering/vegging.

First up is clone set #1 which consists of:
(3) SB #3
(4) SB #1
(5) Bb #2
Rooted in 1.5" rockwool cubes soaked in tap water adjusted to 5.5pH (lemon juice)
Planted in 3/4gal pots, then to 3gal to finish.
I use a base mix similar to LC #1 and feed with guano/EWC/kelp

Rooting-
The two up front: Left is Sour Bubble #1 (SB1), Right is Blueberry #2 (Bb2), and Sour Bubble #3 (SB3) are lining the right. You can tell those apart by their huge leaves over crowding the other clones. I dont clip my leaves..


SB3 roots like crazy, in all directions. Note the root coming out the top of the cube, a first for me with a new clone.


9-21-2010 => Clone Set 1 planted



10-13-2010 => Roughly a week after transplant to 3gal. Under a total of 500w MH


10-24-2010 => Replaced old, tired bulbs with new Hortilux MH bulbs.


11-01-2010 => The last veg day. The dark cycle following this veg light cycle was extended to 12 hours to start flowing.


11-09-2010 => Seven days into 12/12

Here is clone set #2 which consists of:
(3) SB #3
(5) SB#1
(3) Bb#2
For these, I rooted them the same way but in the 3"x3"x4"tall blocks.
Same medium as clone set #1, and still in 3/4 gal. Going to up-pot in about two days I think. We'll see.
These were cut from the moms when the moms were rootbound and showing some deficiencies. I had to take cuts because I was already behind schedule, so I did and they look ugly but they are so much better now and will be perfect in another week. They all rooted in 10-14 days too so its all good

And yes, I uppotted the moms from 2 to 3 gal pots after a little root trim. They jumped back to lush green life of course.

11-01-2010 => Clones rooting.. Note the three Bb2 on the left, three SB3 on the right, and the SB1 in the middle.


11-28-2010 => Here they are after seven days veg. More like recovery and root building.

Frozen looking real nice man. I like how you have a bunch of different cabs going..I Had a G13xsour bubble before. Never got it into flower though some bad things happened. But here is a pic its the one on the right. Yours you great! Keep it up.

Its a big change from the old days, but I love it. This was one of two rooms.

Hey thanks stussy.. I can't handle only harvesting once every two months lol. I need it more frequent. Can't plan that far ahead hahah. Too bad you never got to flower that cut out, sounds tasty..

I decided to build it myself because I think its cheaper, and stronger than most things. Plus I can build it completely custom. There is a diagonal in the back, lower left. It is parallel with the diagonal in the front. Then there is the diagonal on the second level that is in a plane perpendicular to the other two shown. And that vertical post on the second level is about halfway to the back, it isn't the back post.

Yeah no problem man! I love sharing the stuff I do. It did work out very well, and I'm glad I built it myself because I'm not a stick, and I need to get to the back of the second level. I was hesitent at first to crawl on top of it lol but it held. I had the mix of SB1, SB3 and Bb2 right under me at like seven weeks flowering But I didn't fall, and my plants didn't get smashed lol.

Yeah me too.. She is a special girl, with a special high. Not too strong, but very uplifting and mind clearing. Great to get a whole lot of stuff done.

Hey moonchild, thanks! I'm really excited I found these plants. I'm going to look for another blueberry soon because I think the blueberry high can be better. Plus I want a male.

Well I actually only have this one grow going on lol. The other pics are from an older grow, the start of a few rooms. But right now I just have the one operational cab and the other cab I'm building, total of 1200 flowering watts. It leaves me with enough time for homework and some play, but not much lol.. Yeah the cab/tent is awesome, it will be a cab within the next few days as I finish it up with wooden sides.. But even this panda film is great because its easy to put up, its light, and plus its easy to cut out vents where I want..

Got a small update for you.. A few closeups of clone set #1 at day ~36 of 12/12 and a group shot.

I'll get some pics of clone set #2 (vegging) later. I transplanted half of them so far, the others will be done tonight or tomorrow when I get some more time..


Sour Bubble #3--Plumping up, and smelling like a sour lime and stickier than anything. Its crazy..

Sour Bubble #1-- This pheno is quite different, and does most of its frosting at the end it seems. This pheno smells like a sweet mocha..

Blueberry #2-- Its not resembling the mom plant as much as it should, we'll see how it turns out. Nonetheless it still smells like blueberry candy.

Hey IC

Here with an update. I have pictures of clone set #1, at day ~42 12/12 and some of clone set #2 still vegging.

Here is a group shot. This is the second time flowering out these specific strains/phenos and I tend to test the different limits of each one (this time I'm testing how little nutes I can use). As you can see, the Sour Bubble 3 has reacted a little extremely but shes ok, still pumping out the bud/resin. She is the most resilient plant I have ever grown.

Sour Bubble 1.. Not as frosty as 3 but seemingly as stoney, with an OUTSTANDING taste/smell. Down right tasty. Like a mocha, sometimes with a hashy mocha aftertaste.. MmMmmm.. So guud.


Blueberry #2.. Still not resembling the mom at these days.. We'll see if I decide to keep her. I may search out a different blueberry mom. This plant is also rather weak. Two of them need yoyos, and she yields less than the sour bubbles that dont need yoyos. Oh well..

Ok I thought I would post up some pics I shot of clone set #3.

As you can see, I root my clones at about 72/66F, day/night and get roots in about eight days out of these 4" blocks.
Oh and I use just water with a bit of lemon juice to adjust pH when soaking/watering blocks.

I take the dome off after about 24-36 hours and it usually doesn't go back on.
