getting tired of opening a pound and seeing lots of pm here and there, i mean don't people realize the health effects of this stuff! I know you might lose a little $ by throwing the pm buds and plants away, but its fopr the better

You have 2 choices brother.
1. grow your own.
2. bring the mouldy shit back to the dude you bought it off and get your money back.

We have a saying around these parts that goes a lil something like this.....dont buy before you try!

I'm half-guessing it might have been shipped to him. (Other half-guess is maybe bought in a quick shady transaction w/o close inspection.)

So just because one form's hyphae and fruiting bodies are ugly and easy to spot (once cracking the bud open) makes it not okay, and the other form is less easy to spot w/ the naked eye and not as harmful looking to the naked eye is okay and not to be considered mold or harmful?

Judge a mold's evil by the uneducated naked eye appearance? Is that how we go about it?

Not saying that bro-- Just saying that I don't think that PM is as harmful as black mold...which is typically what you would find in a wet, moldy bag--
I am not an expert on this by any means...and I have had a hard time finding any solid info on the effects of smoking bud with PM--
I am however, an above medium size grower...and would love to be more educated on the subject--
Any links to solid facts about smoking PM would be greatly appreciated--

Hahhha I've shown smokers PMd buds and the majority say "daaaamn that shits got mad crystals!!!!"

legalize mj and pm, mold and pests will be a thing of the past...

Neither do I; I don't know if PM is very harmful or much harm to a human, but then again I don't know much about the effects of botrytis either. I do know that neither is good for you, and the absence of both is preferable.

But to not consider a mold a mold, or to judge (or downplay) it's harmfulness simply based on uneducated visual appearance to the naked eye is simply wrong and not the way to go about it.

Ok...but BTW...we had our last crop tested...and my Employer told me the guy doing the testing told him of all the molds you could have on your Bud...PM was the least harmful--
That is why I went in the direction I did..."Undereducated??" maybe..."Uneducated??" no--

I remember reading about a clone sales transaction at the BPG a couple years back... the customer pointed out some PM, saying something like "WTF, what's up with all the PM?" and the guy behind the counter saying "those are trichomes!!".

Small, vegetative clones.

Also remember someone making a comment about some moldy buds that looked like a dead bird. That one was classic.

tons of bud has PM, most people are not educated about pot or dont know much about it.
i would think the average user doesnt really know about mold, pm and other details about weed. most people just care that its called "kush" or "k". thats about it.

lets say yes in CA and yes i should have checked more throughly, but ....


i know growers who just sell all there pm stuff regardless, to your average market consumer, they wont even know the difference and will think the extra "white" means its more dank, lol this is true, dont think i made that up.

but to peeps like me and most of icm, well not most but a lot of us, we know what is pm and what is grey mold and so on,

its easy to try a wonderful nug and then find many nasty ones later!

oh yeah, back on topic, when i was putting in never sold anyone moldy or wet or otherwise sub par weed, not even in schwag bags, not from an ethical stand point, but more of a "i wanna keep my customers and not piss off the violent ones" kinda angle... So, either stop going to him, or, if he isn't a physical danger to you, get in his face next time. Don't actually get violent, please, we don't need another headline linking weed to violence, but make it clear that you are pissed off and the practice should NOT continue. Honestly, you get treated the way you permit others to treat you, simple as that.
