1 young mom -- 1 boy and 1 girl clone WTF

A friend has a few Johny Blaze going (blueberry x nevilles haze) and he managed to get a couple clones of this plant while it was quite young, like 3 weeks old , now he has started to flower out the original seed plant as well as the 1 of the clones.

Now hes thinking that the other clone is a female but the weirdest deal is that the seed plant is defiantly a female but the clone he flowered is defiantly a male...... so WTF?!?!?!?

I am like 98% sure he didn't fuck up the labeling so my theory is that he took the clones before the plant had established its sex. So whats up???

He has this male from the female seed still so is it crapola or perhaps something super duper fancy?? I wonder about using this to breed with?? it does look like a true male not some sorta hermi
.

Any ideas about whats going> Any one have something similair happen???

Edit BTW buddy says the clone that ended up male was somehow stressed while rooting and the tip got kinda fried, so perhaps the extra stress from whatever stressed the the cut made it go male??

Your friend is most likely mistaken. Sex is predetermined. A clone is a genetic duplicate. It makes no sense that the mother would be 100% female and the clone 100% male. I think you should inspect the leaves closely for differences. I bet they're different plants or hermaphrodites...

Agree with bobblehead. I grew NL x BB and found it hermied really easily, gave to another grower had the same problem. He said not surprised as anything with BB hermies easily. Don't know if its true. Could be that just the male flower are showing first. Be interested to see if some female flower appear later in flower. If you don't through it out keep us posted if you end up seeing any sign of female flowers.
