No bleeder valve, and havnt experienced any problems yet. I would like to put one in just in case, but havn't located any 8mm barbed valves around here.

In this particular setup I do not have an airstone in the 55 gallon reservoirs but do have a small water pump in each reservoir keeping it circulating.

My other blumat setup in the tents does have a small airstone, but no recirculating water pump.

Thanks for the answer, I was unsure if an airstone in the res would cause airbubbles and eventual flooded floor!

Lovely grow indeed!

3/8 inches is about 9.5 mm, maybe a 3/8 barbed fitting could be squeezed in to work.

Harvest time - going to cut these ladies down starting tomorrow. Prolly take me a few days..

I've never flushed for this long and kind feel like I started flushing a tad too early on these strains. I've flushed past the point of yellow and now fan leaves are starting to die. Never ran these strains before so next time I think I wont start flushing as early.

Should be some good clean smoke though - hopefully yield is OK.

WOW! Those look gorgeous! Should be some CLEAN smoke!

Quick question about your Blumat experiences... I'm using straight coco and have had a few run aways lately. I think I'm setting them too wet from the get go. I've been soaking the media then adjusting to no drips, then another notch or so. Now I'm cranking them in at least a half turn from no-drip. How do you do it?

I've experienced the opposite, but have had a few run-aways after a 2nd adjustment.

Initially I setup up just as you - water heavy - adjust to cling - then tighten arrow or so.
I however find myself opening back up an arrow or so as things dry out if pots start to feel too light allowing me to keep a rather heavy pot - but with no runoff.

Occasionally everything will be just fine and then one day I'll have some water running across the floor.. I'll trace back to a pot with wetness underneath and crank it down an arrow or so.

Good shit Cheeb! How do you like the Maxi & Bloombastic combo compared to your old nite regime? What did you use prior?

down2grow,

I used Maxibloom ONLY on this garden, but I do think I'll keep using bloombastic in the future.. This run looks smaller in overall size and chunkiness compared to previous maxibloom runs w/ bloombastic.

I believe in bloombastic, but also think it can promote mold due to density so be ready with a dehumidifier come late flower - especially at night.

thanks yort!

Yeah I would have to agree that bloombastic does dense the nugs up. How often did you have to top off your res? Was the PH pretty stable with MB in the res or did you have to add PH down once in a while?

I'd not 100% sure how often I topped up the res as I wasn't keeping it at a full 55 gallon.

I'd say that it'd be around 35 gallons and I would add back once I got down to around 5 gallons which typically took around a week.

pH was extremely stable. I only had to use pH up occasionally as I'm using maxibloom w/ RO pH of around 6. Maxibloom would drop me down to around 5 so I'd hit the res with a splash of up to get me to around 7 before adding maxibloom which would then drop me back down to a perfect 6.

Round 2

Well despite what the pictures look like yield was actually disappointingly low. I only averaged around 14oz per 1K light..so only 56oz for the entire 4000w garden. I'm unsure of what caused the low yield, but do believe I started flushing way too early. The left 2 lights were not given adequate veg time as the right 2 lights needed flipped so I anticipated lower yield on those 2. I thought the lights w/ 8 plants per light would do much better.

Next run will get heavy lower stripping, bloombastic, and not so long of a flush.

Here is the reload - again the 2 lights are ready to flip while the other 2 still need some veg time. All cuts where taken at the same time - the larger LEMGs rooted faster, were transplanted sooner and if I wait too much longer will most likely be a hair overvegged.

12 plants per 1K
BBxLAV under the left 2 lights
LEMG under the right 2 lights.

The LEMG produces large buds, but they are rather light and fluffy. Hopefully some bloombastic will dense things up. I'll be drastically pruning everything but the cola tops at the flip of 12/12 and around 1-2 wk after the flip.

Starting 12/12 very soon. Should be a good run now hat I know how these varieties react in flower.

Larger Lemons just had their tops tied over to promote more dominant tops.

Sorry for the nasty HPS orange in the pics.

Hope all is well everyone.

Tagged! I've had these blumats for over a year now, not once have I used them. Now that I am doing a coco session next round they are going to come in handy! Thanks for the reminder!
