It's easy to see when you grow along. :)
You want as much light as possible to reach the budsites.
Top it - and trust your eyes. In most cases lst pays of with limited space.

are you growing from seed? I'm in the same boat as you but i'm growing from regular seeds, so ill be spending a lot of time LST'ing the plants not knowing if they are female taking up the space i could have used for toping.

Topping 6 Plants needs a lot of Space.

I would top if you have enough space and scrog them. If not LST.

Both. And supercrop. Top 'em, pull em apart and tie 'em so all the shoots have vertical space to grow and then pinch/supercrop to keep all tops at an even height.

Topping will increase the growth of side branches, Lst does the same but to a lesser extent. If this is your first grow I would say do 3 each way and figure out what works best for you. I just finished a grow with 18 plants all trained diffrent ways just to see what will work best for me in my room. This is part of the fun of growing learning.

Toppers hate LST cause it's too damn much work. LSTers hate ScrOG cause it's too damn much work. ScrOGers hate topping cause it's too damn much work...

All 3 work great. The question is which fits your individual cab requirements and more importantly, which is more fun. The more fun you have, the more you enjoy working in your garden, the better for you and your weed.

That's a joke, right? :joint:

Absotively. But, seriously, many do claim ScrOG takes "too much effort." uhh... what effort? The screen does all the work. But, hey, it's their garden. If employing another method is more enjoyable, do it. Growing should be fun.

i use topping and lst. try topping it to 2 nodes with 2 branches each then train each of those 4 branches away from the center. sort of like a big cross.
