Hanging bulbs vertically

Hey I bet this is an easy one and surely some of yous guys have experienced this.
My socket assemblies have the cord come out the side of the socket and I want to hang my bulbs, but what's the best way that will keep straight. Is there like a tried and true method that will keep them straight or is just trial and error? Hopefully someone understands what I am asking. But my lights are giving me a hard time. I am sure there is an easy way right.

Re: Hanging bulbs vertically

Here's a link with a picture of what I mean.
I wonder can I do to keep it reliably and securely hanging straight in the vertical position...I guess with enough bungee cords and chains maybe eventually I could half ass rig it but just wondering how others have dealt with it. He'll maybe I could take it apart, I just don't want to fuck with it and mess it up. Anyway...

Im just a bit confused the link shows a pic of a reflector with a socket assembly? if this is what you have I have never seen anyone use it Vertically. My light has no reflector it just hangs over the plants thats it. The cord has a 90 deg end so it was not made to use verticly but works just fine. There is a slight angle on mine but nothing to worry about.

Hope that helps

Re: Hanging bulbs vertically

Lol no no. I am sorry, that's the type of socket assembly I have but I am not using the reflector just hanging the bare bulb. Problem is the cord comes out of that housing out the side, so when I hang it its not real straight.

You should not have any issues with the light at a slight angle. If it really bugs you no choice but to rig it with tie wraps

Well that is a good simple option I had not considered, just dont worry about it. It does kinda freakin bug me though...

Here is how I did mine

By moving the chains around and adjusting the cord I get mine to hang straight
