I think because he is being greedy like a lot of other people! Plus if I had an area right now that I could grow a large amount I could grow my meds & a third out of the crop would not hurt me I would probably not find this as such a hardship but when I don't presently have the equipment to do it like that it would be a large portion of what I grow compared to his basement!
I also just think I will make him think I'm not growing anymore & cut ties with him! I actually thought at first that a third of the crop was normal! No experience! Only bought before!

I know he bought the genetics but still if I had the genetics I would GIVE him genetics, because that's the person I am! But to ask for a third for the rest of the time I'm growing WTF! You see that's the way I treat people even if it wasn't a family member!

Right on CrazyBear. I spent 2009 collecting genetics. Spent well over $4K on seeds from all over (DJ Short, Rez, Chimera, Head, etc...). I have given packs of seeds ($200 a pack) to friends, given cuts to friends, and (later this week) will be giving a complete stranger (well, sold him some grow gear on CL) a mom of my prized SFV/Chem, DSD, and ToeJam.

I ask for no payment, as I feel what goes around, comes around. There is too much greed in the "business" side of growing, and hearing your story only reinforces that fact.

I say, get yourself the genetics you want. Grow your meds, and enjoy. If punk-ass relative ever asks about your grow (since he already knows about it), take him out back, and smoke a joint of your finest. When he asks about the genetics, tell him they are not for sale.

If you want to be nice, point him to any one of the many online seed brokers...

dont do bagseed man you might get some hermies...my last two runs from bagseed have had seed issues, even after spraying dutchmaster reverse...go spend some money and get some tried and true genetics....

Next time you talk to this CLOWN tell him THANKS ANYWAY but... a GOOD FRIEND gifted you a FIRE cut for FREE...because he thought it was SELFISH to watch a friend suffer...and when you offered him 1/3 of your harvest he looked at you like a confused dog and said NO WAY man are you crazy? I have more than enough, Merry Christmas.

For Christmas, I would buy this "fam" a clown costume
