Will low temps hurt my ladies in the long run?

I started a thread a while back about how to slow down my vegging plants growth.....

The suggestions included lowering my nutes, less light, or lower temps.

For my setup, the last suggeston was the easiest, and seems to be working well.

I have two questions....Will the lower temps (between 50-60 degrees F) veg have long term affects on my plants once I switch them to flower at the regular mid to high 70's?

Second, My veg room is the same room I set up my easy cloner. It seems the low temp has somewhat slowed their development as well. Roots just started showing up a week and a half since they were cut (usually it takes about a week) Will any long term harm/ damage done to them?

Thanks

you could always give your plants silica in veg or flower if having temp issues... it helps the plants handle hot or cold conditions.. I think it definitly helps.. it makes your stems super stiff too..

not familar with this...any more info? cost? application? etc....

also..i bend (super crop) not sure id like "super stiff stems"

low temps will hurt you. it wont kill them unless it stays too cold for too long but if your temps (whether lights on or off) are anywhere lower than 70 it will cause unwanted stress which in return will make your yields suffer. i just finished up a grow and towards the end my temps started dropping to around 65-68 and i could tell harm was being done. i blame it on winter time but keeping those temps under control is important. if you start seeing a purple color on your fan leaves thats a sign of it being too cold. hope this helps, best of luck to ya.

one love.

short answer to your question is no

however I would say that in flowering nothing is more helpful than a nice big swing in temps between light and darkness....nice and cold when dark, warm when the sun is up makes for resinous plants.
