If he let everyone in his family know he grows... Expect that they'll all know you grow now too. He's obviously not that concerned with safety... probably shouldn't have told him. Too late now

If your grow area is very small then 1/3 wouldnt be to much would it? Not saying its a good deal, just think people overlook this, for all you know this dude grows 3 ounces a harvest or less, so maybe 1/3 might not be a big deal?
I think if he wont just sell it to you straight without the added 1/3 donation I would get my genetics elsewhere.

Take one clone off him, let that be your mother, to create other clones, never flower it. You stick to your side of the deal by giving him 1 3rd of your yield which in this case will be nothing or even better give him the clone back and say that you decided not to bother.
The guy is a security risk, it's not safe to let him know that you're growing, if he'll try to rip you off like that then he'll hand you in in a heartbeat if it serves his needs.

I would tell this so called relative to shove his weed up his greedy asshole, but thats just me... 1/3 of your harvest for doing nothing, how redicoulos... and don't matter if he yeilds 1 oz or 10 pounds, 1/3 of a harvest is a big number period.
Thats how i feel if i had a family member that was growing it would be cool..For some reason people thinks its hard 2 grow..And me for one is not leading anymore cows 2 pasture but if he makes it there theres green acres

I agree with most of the posts here, F that relative. I'm sure you can find whatever strain you need without him. Seedbay/boo is your friend, as well as the IC community. What strain is it you are looking for?

Wouldnt it be funny as fuck if 1/3 of the harvest was like a 1/4th? lol just thought it was worth mentioning.

I don't know what his strains are, one is sativa & not that great & one is a sativa crossed with indica! From what I've been told on here white rhino may be a good strain to relieve my pain, so that's what I am going to order from boo/bay soon hopefully!
Right now I have two bag seed Indica's growing in DWC, the one is real close to finishing trichomes are cloudy (radio shack microscope) & the other one is starting to get cloudy!
You guys are completely correct his wanting a third is too much I really can't believe his attitude I think he thinks because he has been growing for a while that his talent base is worth something to me along with his clones, wrong! I did wait a few weeks to see if they would come over because I tried one other time to grow & had miserable results, but I couldn't wait any longer need my meds. so I popped some bag seed & started with DWC! As far as I'm concerned he can keep his genetics & when I get some good genetics if I tell him I'm still growing I'll give him the same opportunity, a third!!

Yeah take one and when he asks for his third, say OH, I never flowered em, I just sell trays and trays of clones on the internet. I've sold THOUSANDS of those clones now, thanks! Then walk away.

Why not show him the love we all are surprised he kept from you? I would say treat him how YOU think family should be treated, not how your family has treated you, weather crappy or not.

So what if he is treating you the way you want to be treated? At least to him, we all come from different angles. I want to change it so what goes around is what we put out, not how others treat us, but treating others how we want to be treated.
I understand this logic, but maybe no one ever gave him genetics without some ridiculous shit like he is throwing to you, maybe hes a prick, maybe to him hes being super nice to you. We cant know for sure no matter what.
So to me it makes sense to hook it up if you get lucky, might change his entire perspective, but dont do it for that reason, do it to treat others how you want to be treated, or to treat family well as you should.
I just hope you find your medicine man, strain hunts can be so frustrating.

Oh I know exactly what your saying, I used to be the same way and thats the only reason I commented on it, had some experience there.
Like I said though, we cant know the angle he comes from, TO YOU 1/3 is insane and we AGREE. However we have no clue where he learned that from or if he is just being a jerk, truth is we cannot know for sure EVER, thats why I just play it safe, golden rule
