Purple and blue strains???

the purple trait is generally genetic but can be promoted by stress and cold temps. there are strains that can get purple and then purple strains. purple strains smell purple in one way or another - be it lavender, blueberry, grape type odors. they lack potency compared to some others.

most true purple strains are very hardy and usually handle the outdoors better. they typically handle harsher climates, have greater resistance to mold, and unfortunatly they tend to have lower potency...which is made up for by the one of a kind flavors and the stunning array of colors. i think physically attractive buds hold a special place in my heart dispite their lower potency. like all buds tho there are some very very potent purple strains like, deep chunk, PCK, and anything purple from subcool.
Many people have been told "just because its purple doesn't mean its potent/good pot." this is true, but it doesn't mean that all purple pot lack potency or quality!!! It just means don't buy shitty pot just because its purple!!! there are plenty of potent purple strains and plenty of other potent strains that will turn purple in cold weather.
Yes.. they often taste musky.
