Anyone using Dutch Master Gold in coco? what ratio?

Just started gettin in to the coco scene and i have a butt load of nutes already and dont wana go out and pile more in to my nute bin.

The freshest stuff i have is Dutch Master Gold A&B and im wondering who out there is using it with coco?

Yeah i have been using it with coco, works OK

I have noticed some Cal/mag Def. so keep that in mind

I add about 60mls to a 50lt rez to get an E.C of 1.0
i find most plants wont go over 1.8E.C

yeah thats about right 1ml per liter

Dm is great stuff, I've used it for a few years since I got into coco. For flower - 2ml/litre, for veg - 3ml/litre will get you around 1.5 ec which is about as high as I go. I have never added calmag and it's simply not needed - these are in the nutes already. If you have issues, change your ph. This last grow is the first time I've ever diagnosed cal or mag defs in 3 years of coco/DM and it's because I had the ph at 5.5 experimenting. Just run it at 5.8ish but for a week or two during the stretch, raise ph to 6 to 6.1 ish. This allows cal and mag to be better absorbed. (if you are worried). Best of luck.

WOW thanks r all the great info,you just made more excited to start using DM over AN other than big bud.

so are you using any of DM additives like ADD.27 or silica etc...

Also im using a tds/ppm meter so im lost when people throw out EC's

No worries I use 5 to 10% coarse diatomaceous earth in the medium for a silica supply. I haven't used any DM additives, all I usually add is some dried seaweed powder during the grow and a generic PK 13/14 style booster near the end. Sometimes some liquid guano (1:9:1) but yeah, just the DM Gold and a P:K booster is fine in my lousy opinion.



^my latest! BTW there is a thread on this section about metals in nutes. I haven't read the fine print yet but aparently DM Gold is the cleanest nute around. Enjoy.

I forgot to say, the ml amounts I gave are for low ppm/ec water, so use less DM if you have high ppm water. PPM is not such a good system because there are different conversion ratios. Yours could be .5 or .7 and I don't really use it so I can't explain it. But I (think I) know that on the .5 scale, 50ppm = 0.1ec, 100ppm = 0.2ec, and so on. EC = EC, there is no confusion or conversions, so it's a better system. The PPM meter is actually measuring the EC and not the PPMs so yeah.
