Very high CBD strains, which ones?

I remember herb that would get me high for hours. I thought maybe weed used to be stronger cause I was young, but I honestly can't remember the last time I got cottonmouth.
Super trippy , gut busting 5 hour perma grin weed . The current strains of fruity weed and kushes seem weaker, I don't know , maybe I'm high , or are they lacking cbds?

They don't seem weaker to me, they seem *very* strong but a very different feel than the 5 hour perma grin stuff I remember.

More racy and intense or just plain stupefying and narcotic and not pleasantly happy, mellow and euphoric at all.

Funny you should mention the cottonmouth, I forgot how intense that could be as I haven't felt it in years. Now that you mention it though I wonder if that's a possible indicator of a higher lever or more balanced level of CBD?

I'm trying to find and categorize what the effects of higher CBD cannabis are because testing is highly impractical for most of us.

I wish the people who buy the Harbourside stuff that has been tested as high or balanced CBD would weigh in on their experiences but I can't find any.

It would be nice if we could have something at least subjective but semi reliable to tell us the balance of the medicine we're smoking.

I thought I would let you know that Shantibaba at MNS is about to release a new strain in conjunction with Resin Seeds, using Catatonic and an as yet undisclosed MNS strain, that will maximise CBD content. It will be released in both normal and feminised versions.
How do I know this? Well, I am one of the lucky ones who is doing a test grow on this new strain, which is called "The Remedy". I will keep you posted as the beans have just popped and are soon to be grown outdoors under the Aussie sunshine.

THCV, you just hit the nail on the head. Testing is the real problem with most of us. You can't just go down to any university or lab and get your plants tested. In order to do a gc/ms ,you have to have the standards, which are expensive. They are also controlled as you need DEA authorization. Many labs who do have the standards only have a few, not for all 72 cannabinoids. U. Miss does most of the testing on pot that cops steal. El Solay has a contract from the government. He is a real bullshitter and does whatever he can to maintain his exclusive control over U.S. grown pot.

The only way that most of us can test pot is by smoking or using an inaccurate test like the Cannalytics Kit from AlphaNova. Only problem is the AlphaNova has a website on which you cannot order anything. You have to send e-mails which they never answer. Most of the places that carry the kit will not ship to the U.S. Many of us would like to develop strains to help our loved ones but the DEA has stacked the deck against us. it is more important to the government for people to suffer and die rather than have them admit that the "cannabis has no medical value" line is bullshit. After all, the U.S. Government(through the Dept. of Health and Human Services) has the patent on cannabinoids. Why would they do that if there is no medical value?
Yeah that's the rub in this country, no testing allowed or very little if it's to prove that there is a medical use!
If a company wants to prove that there isn't any medical use for cannabis or cannabis is harmful to you! It's like well how much do you need of it & how can we help you! WTF! When will our country wake up! It's a PLANT that helps given the right strain!!!!!!!:thank you::smoweed::plant grow:

Excellent news. The aussie sun should send it off the charts.
You have a person/lab to test I'm sure for the cannabinoids....

EDIT: I was away from designer beans since '86 (25 yrs)
and been a caregiver
since '08.

My short term memory has been hit hard. I can barely
hold a thought for 30 seconds & I'm not kidding.

If I don't get the thought down on paper fast,
I have good shot to loose the thought.

I am older now & I knew it effected short-term memory
but this is dramatic st memory loss.
Perhaps more CBD will help this....

according to classic seeds: "only get that dry mouth from shit pot which was not leached right or long enough most growers do it right now so you are not smoking clorafill or ferts .thats one good thing about all the information and great growers who learned from it better pot no cotton mouth"

link to CLS's original post RE: cotton

I only had cotton mouth once or twice in my life, both from some sketchy homegrown shit. Thanks CLS

found this on the Soma A+

Indica
Origins - Super Skunk x Big Skunk Korean x Afghani x Afghani Hawaiian
Flowering - 56 days
Harvest - Early October

Soma A+ may become the pet of the class. Short to medium in height, this mostly indica strain displays the bushy structure and colas so compact that it has been nicknamed "Rock Bud". She is a good sea of green plant since height and branching are easy to manage. With an extended vegetation period, Soma A+ can be coaxed into a larger plant, and will perform incospicuous in an outdoor garden.

A fast bloomer, Soma A+ finishes in about 8 weeks and wards off spider mites so well, she is often the last holdout in the garden, keeping the pests at bay. The yield makes this bud more appealing to a connoisseur rather than a commercial grower, but the easy of growth and the quality of the final product will make this a coveted weed to share with your inner circle.

At maturity, Soma A+ develops sugary red leaves reminiscent of autumn's best maples. As the mostly indica genetics would lead you to expect, the buzz is relaxing to the body and mind, and good for contemplation or napping on rainy day afternoons. Better as a day ender than a day starter, Soma A+ provides medicinal quality cannabis with healing properties for what ails you, whether physical, psychological, or spiritual in nature.

I think that's wrong, 20+ years ago we used to get utterly wrecked on very professionally grown indoor organic and outdoor high grade cannabis and the cotton mouth and bloodshot eyes were intense.

Perhaps what is happening is cannabis that is considered poor quality is actually very high (perhaps too high) in CBD but low in THC thus resulting in perception of a less intense high.

Again, this could all be settled if anyone who knows anyone who buys the certified high CBD meds from Harbourside can get a few of them to weigh in here on their subjective experience smoking it.

I'm pretty interested in the Soma A+, but it will be some time before I can fit the price of those seeds into my budget.

It's a shame we don't see more high-CBD strains available in seed form.

the Cannatonic runs about $100 & has similar
profile of THC & CBD as the A+ Soma.

will run the Cannatonic soon out of curiosity.

She said the name in the vid... Something like "Dolce Canna" or "Dolce & Gabbana." She says it too fast and with too much accent for me to be sure. :D

Very heavy accent. I thought she said 'little ninja'
in Spanish.

They answer English email she said.

She (Elizabeth) is so upbeat & enthusiastic I want to move to Barcelona

to be close to resin seeds......

Michigan CBD report

I had the chance to try out a small sample of two strains with GCMS confirmed high CBD content bud.

One strain was tested at 9.28% CBD and 1.2% THC.
The other had 6% CBD and 5% THC.

I noted that the 9.28/1.2 would produce a headache if smoked by itself.

Both had an "awake" effect that hit me pretty quick. Yet calming at the same time.

Effects were noticed within seconds. It did seem to reduce the effects of the THC.

I had several patients try a few flakes. A couple of MS patients and another that suffers from mussel spasms. All three had spasm relief within seconds.

The duration of CBD seems to last longer than the THC. Perhaps as long as 24 hours.

Had two people with ADD try it. Both had times where other people in the room could actually talk, for a change. Usually, with these people, there is non stop talking.

One hit and both got quiet.

Just saying thanks to all the contributors to the thread. I'm looking for strains that have more CBD in them for some patients and this is very helpful.
