why would you ever let a crack head in your car?

This was my question too.

Okay, the guy is down on his luck and looking to score some easy cash to make ends meet. Fine. I can respect. I've known more than my share of tweekers, dirtbags, and bums and one thing they all have in common is blood banks. It is easy money that requires you to do nothing but sit on your ass and let the day go to waste. I am willing to give a guy the benefit of the doubt and believe him when he says he is not one of these people, he is just there to get some cash to keep the lights on.

HOWEVER

If that same guy is later seen sneaking off to his car with a tweeker to smoke a couple bowls I gotta call him on it.

#1) Why are you taking your dope to the bloodbank? It stands to reason your one of those idiots that takes your dope everywhere you go.

#2) Why are you offering a crackhead to smoke out with you? I'm sure it was just an isolated incident...you've never done anything like that before eh? Sounds like the same thing those crackheads say to cops when they get busted or when a john gets busted with a hooker "Really, officer, I've never done anything like this before..."

#3) You got really offended when it was suggested you do not like to do menial labor. Me thinks thou doth protest too much.

I can appreciate hard times, most people have had them. To Ambition's defense on the plasma thing, I did it once when I was like 18-19. It took a long time...most definately NOT worth what I got. What intrigues me is the fact you said that what you had one day, you lost "just like that". Savings and all.... I'm guessing you quit, or were laid off indefinately?
If fired, you would have been one of Obama's 99'ers and still getting some money. Either way, if you were once somebody of 'means', it should have taken a while to get into the shape you find yourself in right now. Unless we are not privy to the whole story.
At any rate, I wish you luck on the job prospect. It is tough out there wherever 'there' is.
Those of us that still have work should try to tuck a little away before we find ourselves in the 'plasma line' too......
