Blood Orange

Earlier this year, a friend of mine gifted me with 2 Agent Orange males. At that time, I wasn't really equipped to grow any males so I just collected some of the pollen (which I mixed together) and then I killed the males. I knew that Agent Orange is popular for its large yields and its orange flavor. So I used it to pollinate my Purple Passion clone (which is an elite clone only strain from Oregon that turns dark purple if its pushed to 10 weeks). The goal was to see if I could bump up the yield on the Purple Passion while adding a little orange flavor to it's extremely hashy taste.

Here are some pictures of my Oregon Purple Passion clone, (the mother of blood orange), halfway through flower.

I started 13 plants to test. One plant was started a little earlier than the others.

After 3 weeks of flowering, I chose to sacrifice the stickiest blood orange female with the longest and tightest cola for a seed run with the male that I chose. I'm also testing the male out on a couple branches of the other Blood females, and a few of my other strains as well, but this is the pheno that I chose to completely seed for F2's.

Shortly after pollinating, we start seeing some seeds. The set of pictures with the black background was taken on November 18th, which was later than the other set without the black background. This plant is completely full of seeds. And, for being grown in a 1 gallon (4 liter) grow bag... It looks thick as hell. It probably would've had a huge cola if I left it seedless. This one still has a few weeks left. I'll show pics of the seedless females soon. It's just too much of a pain to get to them right now. The garden is kinda crowded at the moment.

I was able to take some pictures of a couple of the unseeded blood orange females while I was watering them on November 24th. I'll get pics of the other females and updated pics of the seeded plant here shortly.

Here's one of the females:

Here's another female that is just a few weeks behind the other one in the last post. I topped this one to see if it likes that, so it was flowered a little later. I'll try to get more pics up of the other ones, soon.
