I know it's a source of N but seriously, do you piss on your plants? In my neck of the woods that's a naaasty thing to do.It shows so much disrespect for your own work.If I was offered weed "fertilised" that way I would not smoke it.
Still I see a lot of folks advocating on it.Why, oh why would one piss on his own plants when there are so many better N-ferts?

I think most people piss in their compost, or piss in a container and let it age/settle, dilute it and then water with it.

Course, if anybody actually pisses directly on their plants - rock on freaky bro.

There's no difference between smoking a plant that's been given human urine and one that hasn't lol...I'm not advocating but it's a pretty silly point to get hung up on IMO - unless they were peeing directly onto the buds right before harvest or something....

Rules exist that disallow human excrement to be used on plants because they contain pathogens and problems that can be passed on.

It's fucking piss, people. Seriously.

Fresh chicken shit would kill your tomatoes.
But composted chicken shit is another thing - and boy do I like it for a fert.
But I would never use human shit or urine, even composted for my plants - am I the only one who thinks that's gross?

i dont get how a person can grow organic and not get over all the juvenile feelings of "that's gross!" you're growing in decomposing wood and plant material, and it's been fortified with animal shit and rancid fish guts and kelp extraction. if you're so squeamish go hydro.

someone already said it but urine is most often used in the garden as a compost activator. i use worm bins so i dont really have a need for it, and if i switched to piles i'd use QR activator, but either way who cares? there's a guy on this forum growing in composted human shit.

it's been addressed that any pathogens in your fertilizer is only an issue in ground dwelling plants where the edible portion gets directly sprayed with the manure. in an organic system, well rotted manure is fully broken down in the soil and only digested nutrients are passed on to the plants.

urine is sterile as far as i know.
