A question about hb1284 and renewals

Lets say my card expires then I do a renewal. Am I stuck in the 35 day waiting period before I can visit mmc's? My form is checked off as renewal, but I've been told that since I waited until after my card expired I'm screwed. Another place told me to come on in...wtf? I can't find where in hb1284 it says all this stuff.

Dispensaries are not supposed to assume validity of your paperwork until 35 days after postal receipt, but it all comes down to there directive laid by their particular attorney. You are fully legal to purchase from anywhere, but not the other way around.

Thanks. I recently saw the memo on their website regarding the 35 day rule and it is very clear. Basically, people who are renewing need to have it done 35 days before their expiration date to avoid a waiting period.

apparently the renewal process is a quick turnaround. my buddy just got his back in 2 weeks.
