Yeah if you wanna go that route it will work but be more expensive.

Seaweed tea and a fertiliser with bit of phosphorous encourages root growth. Composted chicken poo mixed through your medium or topdressed is good. Just go easy as its strong but not too easy :smoke:

Cow poo is also excellent and not too strong. Good for mixing with the chook poo. In Oz they sell cock and bull bags of composted manure. Good stuff!

to answer your question, yes it will help

but to promote good healthy roots in seedling i would suggest having a low intensity light, keep humidity high(60-70%), and dont over water, doing these things will promote healthy roots

Roots Excelurator by House and Garden is a very very very well respected product. A lot of people say and agree it's the #1 root growth product on the market. The application rate is also fairly low 1ml/gal or .3ml/litre so the cost per gal is fairly low. A 500ml bottle runs like $150 or something like that.

I've used Rhizotonic and didn't get nearly as good results in root growth IMO as Roots Excelurator. The application rate for Rhizotonic is also really expensive to use in comparison. Rhiztonic may contain stuff that Roots Excel doesn't provide as Roots is marketed as a bacteria inoculant and Rhizo is marketed as a root concoction there's a bunch of different stuff provided in it.

Supertrive contains a bunch of B vitamins, and NAA which is a rooting hormone. NAA is also apparently considered a pesticide I read something about the sale of Superthrive in Oregon being illegal if it's not labeled as a pesticide because of it's NAA content?

Compost teas with alfalfa and molasses. DIY willow branch teas. Both are organic. Heat mats work great.

I read somewhere that superthrive can cause sexual disfunction in seedlings during due to the hormone content.

Agree with rick shaw, especially the willow tea....awesome for specifically root developement. Naturally occuring salicylic acid(sp?)
A buddy up north actually makes organic rooting gel with this and agar or gelatin and something else

myco indeed.. LIQUID KARMA from botanicare!!! also.. canna rhizotonic, as suggested earlier, is GREAT stuff.. one time a friend used a little to much and wound up w/ roots popping out of the stem above where wanted.. roots everywhere!
Only thing is rhizotonic is not organic at all i dont think.. Liquid Karma pretty much is.. 2 very different products.. I would not hesitate to use together..

roots excell is the best stuff I've ever used(growing for 5-6 years) and i have to see something insane to switch.
BUT....the ratio is 30ml to 100l....so that is 3ml to 10l and 0,3 to 1l.....so this goes A LONG WAY...!!!!!

It definitely works very very well.

Some say it's untouchable, that's hard to say. What amazes me is how consistent the results are I never heard of a bad batch of RE... have you?

Rhizo's cheap & its good, like joe fresh said raise lights=roots, lower lights=leaves/growth.

Nitrozyme is an exellent growth stim, for roots & leaves bro(foliar&root feed)
