DANK-

–adjective, -er, -est. unpleasantly moist or humid; damp and, often, chilly: a dank cellar.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/dank

so that is the meaning of dank.....so why do ppl call their buds dank? it would seem like they either dont know the meaning of the word dank, or they are smoking dank bud(wet and moist)??

i understand what ppl mean when they refer to their weed as dank, but why would you choose a word that means moist and wet....

I'm guessing it's one of two things.

Basements are dank... indoor grows were usually in basements back when...

or

A lot of indoor is sold moister than some like...

Either way if you say "dank" to a cannabis consumer they will know you don't mean "nasty".

there was a period when 'kind' translated to spacey head high bud, and 'dank' was super sticky sit-down-and-contemplate-your-belly-button indica, but even i'll admit that period was about a month. after that, every item in the lot had to be kind, dank, icy cold - or any combination of the 3.

be it a sack of bud, bottle of beer, or a veggy burrito - i blame the marketing department.
