Bro it depends on what stage of growth you are at... I wouldnt leave them that long without water... I understand what you are talking about... the longest Ive left mine was 5 days and came back to shriveled plants and yellowing... I flooded them with water and a few bounced back..
You can check how long it takes in your grow by simply stopping to water the plants and see when they start to look droopy.
In big ass pots, growing not-so-big plants with fine grade coco and high humidity a week without watering isn't a big deal.
With rootbound plants in a low humidity, lots of air movement and high temps 2 days is too much.
Im using 2 gal pots right now, ive read on various gardening sites that you could put the plants in a tub/container with water in the bottom of the container, would this work for a week?
If you have to leave your plants for a week, you definitely need to make some choices.
1) up pot to a much larger pot before you leave and water heavy
2) setup a drip/blumat system
3) get a super trusted buddy to water 1-2x.
4) place pots in a bucket of 3" nute solution, allowing them to draw it up as needed
5) setup a wick system with another bucket underneath
Coco does not hold onto water like soil does, which overall is a good thing. It does force you to water more often though.
that depends on a lot of things. Your medium, the size of your plants, and the size of your pot makes the most difference. also, so does temperature and humidity.
my hempy buckets can go about 5 days until the last 20 days of flower or so.. then its about every 4 days
