Drifting and weed are not good friend. This herb make people more gentle... You see a gentle drifter ever ?

Might be living in my GMC step van, so that would fall into the category of drifting around..
Hoping it won't come down to that.

hahaha love the generation gap...

drifting is an auto sport where you car seems to be out of control, sliding sideways

normally the more sideways you can slide your car around corners and the closer you can get to the wall without crashing scores you the most points.

this sport originated in japan and has become quite popular in north america. RWD cars are prefered to drift. 240sx, ae86 corolla, rx-7 etc are a few popular cars used to drift.

Sounds foolish, but as my pap used to say, "Hey! What ever trips your trigger." I'm just glad I don't pay your auto or health insurance.

i dont drift, cause there are too many boy racers aroud where i live that give driftin a bad name. welding diffs, slammed cars, shitty looking bodies, missing bumpers. things i cant stand. why in the hell would you weld your diff on a street car. every time you turn a corner, all you can hear is: skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip skip of the tires. LAME

lol what. you don't drift cause there is to many boy racers around thats a strange thing to say. If they give drifting such a bad name do you not feel its your duty to give it a good name? welded diffs will make your wheels skip on low speed cornering true but they do offer a predictability that is often only rivaled by expensive lsd's. dont under estimate how valuable predictability is.

in regards to the orginal question yea im into drifting.havent been on a track yet but that day will come.lets just say i have a fun drive to work most days.

we used to try drifting back in high school...i had a 91 pignose 240 hatchback with a spraycan black paintjob...really loved that car, did donuts pretty easily. never hit a drifting track just did donuts mostly until i sold it to pay for upgrades on my other car...

my friend had a 240 kouki front end with sr20det swap he had at least 15k into that thing....we mobbed around in it a few nights definately a nice car but rough ride you feel every bump...he eventually sold it to buy a 2nd gen rx7 with ls1 motor swap..

now i just drive boring leased cars because i dont have time to deal with mechanical nightmares with project cars...my brother just blew a turbo on his wrx and its gonna cost 1k to replace, on top of the 4k he already spent when he blew the original motor..

I remember someone telling me, "dont go drifting with your car unless you can afford a new one"

hahah I still remember one of my friends trying to ebrake slide his FWD mazda3 around a corner in a loading bay, he ended up smashing into one of the concrete walls separating the loading docks and ended up breaking one of his wheels off the front axle..... hey,,, ya can't fix stupid.

take it to a track, seriously, its fun n all, but doing it where momo's abound is just asking for trouble. hell I snapped a telephone pole like a toothpick in my dumber days. oh the shit I've gotten away with.....
