best nutes for coco

iv been growing in coco for about 2 years now using pbp with the cal-mag and LK and i always end up getting nute defs even feeding and flushing between waterings. iv been using bonaticare coco and always flush it. i want to put an end to these nute defs once and for all! please!

You'll get a lot of diff opinions as to what nutes are the "best"...
Myself, I use Maxibloom. I've used GH 3-part (as well as the lucas formula) and loved it. But I've been using Maxibloom and tap for over a year now and love it.
Btw, don't flush coco in between feedings. Flush at the end of flower for two weeks, otherwise feed with every water.
Good luck.
Here's a thread you may find useful; http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=191645

Until the very end of your grow, flushing is a bad idea in coco. When I first started in coco I made the mistake of flushing once with plain water in the middle of a grow and my plants displayed deficiency signs within 24 hours. Also, never let your coco get dry.

nute def, or lockout..

what are you wanting out of a nute program first? ease, control-ability, price ... ...

iv got some GH maxi bloom im going to use on my next run and some canna A & B but iv never used these b4. the maxi is cheap and said to be easy. canna's nutes are not cheap and i dont wanna spend hundreds of $ on somthing that might not work out for me.

botanicare is a great company. i used their CNS17 line grow/ripe/bloom/LK/hydroplex. it worked pretty well but not as well as i would have hoped. i never really had any def. or lockouts using it. never flushed except for b4 harvest. i was also using their ready-gro moisture formula. recently switched to AN (sensi ab grow/bloom with bud candy) along with the ready-gro and my results are way better i believe, and ive used FF,botanicare full lines

These West Coast Dogs were grown in pretty much nothing but Floranova Gro & Bloom ....
like to add Cal/Mag too but these were grown without pretty much

Nice thing of the FloraNova series , has plenty of C/Mag in the formula
good to go with coco ...two peeps here recommend not flushing coco , this is a little news to me . Any medium will build up salts & needs flushing , would think ? Usually measuring run-off tells me when to do this when i see its gotten off the charts which invariably happens . Then flush & get the pots cooled down to at least 1.8-2ec ..but pushing plants in mid flower a good thing to do esp with heavy feeders .

Give that Maxibloom a go. 1 tsp/gal does it. You will not be disappointed!

You shouldn't have any problems with salt build-up if you feed to waste. I've been using coco for a few years now and I have never ever once flushed at any other time than the two weeks prior to chop day.
I run Maxibloom, about as salty as nutes get, and never have any salt issues.
I've seen a few guys claim to have salt build-up but Imo i think guys see some salt on the inside of the pot or on top of the coco and panic.
I can tell you from at least two years worth of experimenting with coco that salt build-up IS NOT an issue. :ying:

Just push em ... always worry a bit when i think of the "concentrating salts" when letting the pots go to the dry side when ec drifts up too high , say around 2.6-8 . Like to run a plain water rinse every so often & measure that run -off to see just where the pots ppms are ..and if too high just give em a 3day cool down . But im more prone to running them hot like everyone else ...some, well most like it hot ! :)

But like a ballerina or gymnast , some don't ever have to think about where they are in a run , they just know & KISS ....but no ,really will def give the maxi a try . And at 1tsp /gal you're def on a light-feed-every-watering regime ...which some say is the best . Bet that maxi-gro sure gets them green in a hurry ! ;)

Brotha, look no further than House and Garden. IMO they are the best around. But whatever brand you use, do yourself a favor and make sure:

1- you use coco specific nutes as your base solution (then you won't need addatives)
2- feed with every watering (1000 - 1300 ppm's - early to late flower)
3- flush 1 - 2 weeks before harvest

Good luck brotha!

it's more then anything using a nutrient that contains lower K, and ratios of P and N you want. all salts are the same, just different formulas..

but then as I said there is many factors, as some places don't carry H&G, or price you want to spend.... ........
