humidity is relative to temperature, so if your temp is high, lowering the temp will raise the relative humidity. i leave trays of water around to keep mine higher. lowering the fan speed should also help (having the exhaust off isnt advisable.)

The temp stays around 73-77 and the humidity is around 35-40% with the humidifier.
Why is having the exhaust fan off not advisable?

not advisable as you will have no fresh air in there and your carbon filter wont be doing its job. if you dont have a carbon filter then thats not advisable either ;)

why do you want humidity so high? are you cloning ? i run at 30 percent and love it

from what i read clones should be at 90% veg at 60% and flower at 30-40%....

Thats very true about the carbon filter...lol. I havent put it on yet but im starting to get the smell coming so I am going to put it on this weekend...
The problem with my room is that i dont have much of fresh air getting in....all i have is one fan exhausting the room but not new air coming in...the new air is when i open the door...(closet grow) Am planning to put co2 in there once flowering starts

listen my PK girls began to get flacid in less than 50% RH, so don't believe everything you hear about low humidity. Most trads can't really get low humidity under 40%

if you want higher humidity buy another identical humidifier

I'd be in 70's if your vegging with temps of 82-84 degrees my girls explode with a veg enviro like this

enjoy your experiment

would you be happy in a room all day with no fresh air..? plus even in dry as shit conditions the outside air is better due to higher levels of Co2 ... VENT .. VENT .. VENT.. In and Out..

As an estimate, how long before the exhaust fan goes off will the smell be noticeable?
