New room design and suggestions

Ok so here it goes. Building a room that is 12x17x8 located in an unheated pole building. Veg room will be 12x8 and the flowering room will be 12x9. I want to do a perpetual grow in soil with harvest's every 15 days. I will be growing medically and am limited to 60 total plants. I have three strains with two mom's a piece for a total of 6 mom's. I plan on vegging 15 days before putting into flower. So that gives me 6 moms, 9 clones....9 in veg and 36 in flower for a total of 60 plants. Harvesting 9 plants every 15 days. Sound right??? I currently flower in my crawlspace in a 4.5 x 8 x 6 area, 24 plants with 2 1000k hps with air cooled hoods. Have had many many many successful grows down there. Avg 1.5 oz per plant with apprx 15 days of veg. I am thinking 3k in new flowering room should be sufficient.I am just looking for some advice on the best way to set up the new room. Any advice is greatly appreciated and I thank you all in advance.

It sounds like your too focused on harvests every 15 days and not on proper equipment or how much you have to spend.

If I had that space to work, you could go as large as 9kw with room to spare for a 4x8 tent for mother/veg area.

Growing in a perpetual setup makes things complicated. The more you can simplify it, the less work it will be.

It sounds like you already have your mind made up as to what you want to do, so what are you really asking?

no need for 2 moms of each strain. you only need a few of each. You are counting on 100% success on cloning to feed your grow. ditch the extra moms and now you can clone 12 plants, keep the 9 best.

perpetual sucks IMO. you are stuck trimming, you are stinky, house stinks etc. i would just want to get it over and done with at once.

I agree with Sam about the space. You are using almost the same size space for vegging as flowering. You could easily expand the flowering area.

Think T5's. they are great for vegging, and would work great to keep your moms.

The best way is what works for you. Sealed, non sealed, etc

I am open to all suggestions as to the best way to set up this room. My mind is not made up completely on the 15 day thing. How would you set up a grow, with this kind of room and keeping under 72 plants at any one time? In the flowering room I want AC a dehumidifier and Co2 as well as an emergency exhaust vent, all ran off a controller. I currently have 2-1000w hps in sealed hoods for flowering and 2 400w MH that I use for my mom's and vegging. I don't have a budget per say, but I am gonna spend what it takes to set this room up the right way. So fire away...I am listening.

NO budget ???? you need an extra kid ??? LOL

good luck with whatever you decide . (thumbs up smiley )

I would have 2-3 400's or a good arsenal of t5's in mom/veg room. If i did use t5's the walls would be covered with em too. I would have 4 moms. All the same strain or 4 different w/e. The veg room would be 3 to 4 feet wide and every cubic inch would be facilitated to vegging out plants. An ezcloner (or similar, homemade even) is a must.
For the flower room I would build 10 boxes, 10 or 11 feet long x a foot wide x a foot tall. That could vary in size though to your specs. The boxes could be plywood or a wood frame with weedmat or a geotextile as the walls and bottom. Of course these boxes are on some good size heavy duty casters.
So once you got everything set up, take 2 boxes and fill them up with soil and plants. Put them in your flower room. :plant grow: 2 weeks later 2 more boxes go in, the original boxes move towards the other side of room :plant grow:. 2 weeks later 2 more boxes go in and the 4 in there slide to the other side of the room. 2 weeks later repeat process. You can do this weekly or monthly, what have you. When the first batch is ready; harvest, remove box and insert new ones.
In my diagram I have 12 lights, this would potentially give you 2-3 pounds a week or 2 weeks or month, whatever you decide on how much work you want to do daily. The green slashes on the side is the mother/veg room.
