I get rid of mine for 20bucks a cup.. and its top notch butter, meaning very potent! This is in Colorado.. 3/4 cup makes a VERY strong batch of brownies. 9 (3inchx4inch) brownies in a batch.. Each brownie sells for 5 bucks or more..

I bought some shit butter at a dispensary for $45.00. It was half a pint. I expected it to be potent, but it was trash. Most medical cannibis dipensaries don't really have people who know edibles very well.

Cannabis in general is way over priced. It would be great if it were legal to drive the prices down. Too many pot dealers don't want it legal. Stupid..

I give my butter away for free and watch everyone drool all over themselves.

FWIW if you add butter flavor (from the cook shop) it will taste like regular butter and fetch a better buck.

I don't know...I make bubble hash and get 20/g:D I know some people who make oil, turn it into brownies and get a pretty good price/brownie from a local club....and their brownies are the shiiiiiittt;) I'm gonna be shameless and ask them for one for Christmas, lol. I haven't had an edible since the day before I found out I was preggo....4/20, lol.

Depends on the club. I have found that most are not very educated on edibles just because it is not as common for someone to use edibles on a regular basis.
The best club for edibles informed people I have been to is Harborside in Oakland. They seem to know the difference between a light dose and a heavy one.

I have often been told to only eat half and it will usually take three times that amount.

The best edible I have ever bought came from a club in Sacramento. One slice of bananna bread. Fantastic.

It is about preference so I make it myself, but I would like to see cannabis clubs do a better job evaluating potency on edibles. They usually miss the boat IMO...

$20 a cup sounds dirt cheap. Potent butter costs me $280/cup to make (14g of bud)

I live in Colorado, and sell my product at $280/ounce of meds.

If a patient wants me to make butter for them, I charge $325/ounce of meds including butter, labor, etc. Then they get all of what I extract minus a Tablespoon for me - for posterity!

Let's take my last batch for sale:
One ounce of LA Woman...premium bud, no shake.
2 pounds butter.

I extracted 22.7 ounces of butter, I kept 0.7 ounces.

$325/22 ounces = $14.77/ounce, $7.38/tablespoons, $230/pound of butter.
It looks like this:

Butter made from hash water also looks the same way.

For trash butter (shake, old hash material, hermaphradited girls or others I took down early for one reason or another), I use twice as much material/pound of butter. I would charge the same price, the potency is about the same.

It looks like this:

My regular dose for people to have a good 4-5 hour high is half a tablespoon and usually kicks in for me as early as 15 mins. 1 Tablespoon has wrecked everyone who's had it - including me - sometimes 12 hours or more. I've challenged anyone to try some (first time free!) and dare to disagree. Noone has.

There is no more economical way to get high if getting the goods from me. I am not a big sweet fan, and I don't like a lot of fat. A pat of butter on toast in the morning is just right.

I don't sell the trash butter....I eat it all, and get nervous if I don't have a good 2 ounces of trash scraps for the next batch. I give alot of the food I make with it.

By the way, I cook my butter with love, and for no less than 24 hours - usually 27-30 hour. Through trial and error, I have come to believe it takes this long to remove the taste of the chorophyll. I use my biggest stock pot, and keep adding water so it's up to the top at a high simmer - I turn it down to low low when I go to bed. If you didn't know there was pot in the butter, you wouldn't be able to tell (except if you just put it straight on toast I guess).

So, that's what the price is for my butter and exactly how I decided to charge that much.
