Today unfortunately they didn't have the votes and it stalled in the House--53-59-1 and it needed 60 to pass. It's not dead yet, the House meets one more day tomomrrow then again for a few days in January. If the bill's sponsor can't get the yea votes up to 60 before the House adjourns in January it's back to the drawing board, starting again from scratch. Not the news we were hoping for, but that's where it stands today.

Some of the comments in the sun article are pretty crazy. Something to the tune of, "If MJ were medicine, congress would have legalized it long ago..."

Isn't that what we're asking ?!?! Grow your meds people, fuck IL politicians.
