Wanna know how over 40 strains Yield?? Feel free to post how your strains yield here!

Hey all,
-I wanted to depart a little yield knowledge I have concerning the majority of the different strains I have grown.
-As I say how each one yielded, It should be understood that each strain varies by pheno, that each strain does different using different training methods, and that each strain produces differently depeing on nutrients (some strains like some nutes more than others)
-The variables that should be considered for my grow is that I was vegging for aprox 6-8 weeks, in soil, and my nutes were Age Old, Liquid Karma, Carbo Load, Bud Candy, Home&Gardin Shooting Powder, and Canna Boost
-I used stakes to train, they were a little crowded usually, and the yield numbers I use are on average per plant)
-Also, everything was in 5 gallon buckets, using sunshine 4 w/ castings, bone, blood, and lime added

How I figure out whats a good yielder is by dividing the yield/weeks
So if I yield 5 ounces off a 8 weeks plant. It gets a .625 .. If its a 12 weeker and yielded 6 ounces, it gets a .5 .. The higher the #, the better overall yield..

Soo, to date, the highest yielding strains I have had are Flo, Durban, Barney Farm Honey B, Cough, Sage, G13 Labs White Widow, ISS, and Gigabud.

Currently, I am running Agent Orange, Chronic, Rocklock, and Motavation in hopes for high yields.. The Agent orange and Chronic are looking to be huge yielders.. Hopefully Ill say the same about the other 2..

**It should also be noted that when I was growing these strains and taking this data, I had mites, and didnt trim up on the plant very much.. So a good amount of yield went to being larf (which is never counted in yield amount) and the mites took the yield down a notch.. The point of my post is to show that considering pretty much the same variables for each plant, how each one yields.. Also, I didnt used to top my plants, and I didnt used to use CO2, when taking all this data.. When I started out I was goin through as many strains as possible to try to find the one I liked growing most, but I wasnt the most skilled grower at the time..

That's some great data. Even if you werent the greatest grower, the fact that their environment were the same makes it a valid comparison.

Hey daheadies. Great info. I was wondering what Tangerine you used? Is this a clone only or did you get it from seed? I ask because Ive been looking for a Tangerine clone only that was floating around southern cali 10 years ago.

Very helpful, but there is one thing I'd change... I think you should incorporate veg time as well, not just flower time. If you took say a 12 week thai (12/12 from seed) and it yielded 4oz, .333 and compared an 8 week kush that yielded 4oz, .5, but if that kush took 5 weeks to veg 5+8=13 4/13=.30

-Gigabud is from g13 labs.. Same place as the White widow.. The gigabud smells exactly like burning rubber from a vaccum. REEKS! its SUPER DENSE too.. Like G13's Pineapple express. So dense that people think its ourdoor cali herb, but its super crystally and stanky! Youll be able to figure out where to get it by doing a simple search..
-The Honey B is a great yielding sativa! I grew 2 pheno's, 1 of which smelled and tasted almost exactly like durban, just sweeter.. That was also my high yielder.. It grew quick and tall, with long arms, not to many fan leaves, and buds all over. Grows a little slower at the beginning but packs on the second half of flowering.. The other pheno sucked, it just didnt want to flower.. was kinda a tard plant.. That one grew low and was more bushy, but still with not too many fan leaves..
-The tangerine was one that I got from a dispensary.. I dont think it was the tange diesel, but was a tange for sure.. Dunno where it came from
-The idea about incorporating veg time makes sense! Ill have to change the numbers asap.

Will the gigabud need a fresh carbon filter? ha or will her scent make it past that even?

I would reccomend a carbon filter for sure.. shouldnt make it past the door, but a fresh one never hurts.. Honey B is by Barney's farm. Got it from the same place as Giga..

This is a pretty sweet idea... should be made a sticky IMO could be sorted by user, alphabetized and all kept in the same list...maybe separated into soil & hydro too..

What kind of lighting was used in veg/flower?

I was putting about 20-24 plants under a 1000w in veg, then put 4-5 under each 1000w in flower..

Ha.. again.. I was a newb.. Now I use Humbolt Nutes w/ Liquid Karma and Bud Candy, Roots Organics Soil, veg for 10 weeks or longer, do SOG or SCROG, use CO2, dont have bugs (knock knock), and dont crowd the plants too much.. Now I do a combination of topping, trimming up, and defoliaration.. All depending on strain..

so you were vegging most of those strains for 10 weeks? i'm new to growing but that seems long, no? do you have any pictures of what those plants looked like with a 10 week veg?

I was vegging 6-8 weeks, like i said in the first post.. NOW i veg for 10 weeks or more.. I just enjoy getting more than a half pound off each plant.. I wind up using 15gal buckets.. Love it..

I have the SSK, Mob Boss, BMR, Sweet Cindy, Flo, Select Mix, Blue Satellite 2.2 x og Kush, Donk, Secret Recipe, and Chem Jones all in my journal.. Ill add pics of the Oger99, more flo, more mob boss, more ssk, bubble cheese, glass slipper, lifesaver, and bogglegum in about 2 weeks.. They just popped outta the dirt about a week ago.. All my journals are in veg right now.. I will take some pix of other strains I have in flower this weekend maybe.. like the chronic and rocklock and Sour Kush and a bunch of other stuff (the reason i really havnt made journals for that stuff is most of it isnt Gypsy approved) My next round is all gyspy for the most part..
