Bushfire season

I should have been busted 15 years ago, I wasn't and never have been. No special precautions taken.

Hey High Country, I've been watching your threads closely as I am in a very similar area (although not as high or remote). I rem in one of your posts you went through the fires a few years back. Now with the fire season approaching I'm getting worried about aircraft with infra red heat detecting capabilities to pick up 'hot spots' while bushfires are in the area.

I know this hasn't been an issue for us ozzies in the past but after black saturday they seem to be really upping the infrastructure. During the last californian wildfires a lot of indoor growers were detected by the heat of their grow-rooms.

Just wondering what your thoughts are, if any, about your situation in them there hills this fire season....... or am I just gettin paranoid.

Cheers mate, :gday:

Yes there are aircraft and helicopters around bushfire areas with imaging equipment to pick up hot spots through smoke. I think they are more concerned about the fire than someone growing, particularly after Black Saturday. When I see helicoptors during a bushfire I feel safer.

WHEN A FIRE IS THIS BIG THEY HAVE OTHER THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT

So I wouldn't worry about it. I certainly don't. When this fire was going I had a water pump running ready to turn on the deluge fire protection system on my house and a lay flat fire hose ready for the ember attack which came about 5 minutes after this pic. Fuck the grow.

Thanks mate, I feel better already. Getting my fire system ready for this season. I am cosidering including taking some of my grow equipment with me in my evacuation plan as I don't think ballasts, lights, pumps and fans can be claimed on my contents insurance!

Any way, its pissing down with rain now so I'll go have a bit of a smoke...

Hey all, found a pic on the net for a laugh plus did a little work this morning making a 250mm Aeropipe for a spin.

That should work Bundy, looks like aeroponics and NFT combined, start a thread and show us what it does. Nice tree in the first pic.

What do you think of this, 250mm x 2.4m long aeropipe. Ran some water threw her this morning and looks pretty good atm. Checking for leaks and also running Oxy plus threw it also for a bit of hygene.
