Hi friends,
here are some shots of some ladies a friend of mine takes care of
both on Day 49 12/12. Schedule has the harvest at about 60-63 days, almost time to start trich watching :). I like a 20% amber for pain relief, but we'll see.
All from Clone, Plus there is about 8 12"-18" Purple Kush momas about to take thier place in grow bags with a coco-soil mix. There are 2 phenos of the Purple Kush that were originally grown by myself in a 15 seed selection process, i was lucky enough to pass them to a friend, and then more recently to another friend. I think there are two phenos of NL x Haze. The Nl x Haze has been culled due to space restrictions, and was recieved from a friends round of outdoor from seed. no selection was made these were just a one off to fill our flower room from day 1. Basically because these phenos of kush take about 3 weeks to root a clone.... im hooking my friend with a DIY bubbler cloner, but even then im banking on 2 weeks... its very frustrating as these 2 kush ladies pump an extreme funk+punch
Also there is a round of seeds in preperation for the future
( Purple kush pheno 1 X Blue Domina, Bubba Kush X Skunk #1, Bubba Kush X Deep Chunk, some mystery bagseed (presumed bubba or purple) kush, and Dutch passions Master Kush)

6"extractor, passive intake, computer fans under the canopy moving air up, and a 4inch mounted fan blowing air over the canopy
Promix BX
Pure Blends Pro Bloom
Liquid Karma
one dose of Canna PK13/14
Sweet only for week 6-7
one dose of clearex to start the flush at begining of week 7

also note that there was some powder mildew damage that required a lot of defoliating and baking soda spraying :(
hopefully its solved for the next round, also the plants completely overcrowded the box, and grew WAY too close to the light so they are suprisingly yellow and stressed much more than we had hoped.

Yea hopefully the NLXhaze yield will be large, they got topped and ended up with really large colas

Your PK looks very nice PD, super healthy, big colas! Our PK this round got trained heavily, so it has a good deal of popcorn, but i have seen it produce wonderfully large colas, but it was vegged for something ridiculous like 120 days, how long did you veg for?

Friendly, your cross sounds great, IMO A good kush crossed to a sativa have a high chance of producing a really interesting F1/F2 generation. If one has the time and space I'm sure theres a way to lockdown some genetics that improve your original cuttings. Im really excited for the seeds we are germ'ing , The Bubba kush X Skunk#1 is apparently a Bubba BX. (Bubba Kush X Skunk number 1) x (bubba kush). the BKXSK1 pheno used was heavy bubba leaning and used to bx with reversed bubba pollen. I think.... sorry not 100%
0/3 of the master kush have sprouted, unfortunate, as i have smoked some herb that was called master kush, and it was potent and all as the name implied, kind of chalky and inscense-y,nag champa almost. very expansive smoke that siezed your lungs and wouldnt allow you to breathe. very resinous, wish i had snapped shots but of course she stands in my memory.

Thanks CK , FAB and Canna. I think she was vegged for 4or5 weeks under flouros. I would have liked to veg her under halides for more intensity, but trying to keep the costs down a bit.

canna, do it! these badgirls are smelling like a lemony pine tree with something else in the background i cant quite put my finger on. and lookin to yield very heavy in comparison to what im used to growing (heavily indica influenced).

PD, those are nice sized buds for 4-5 weeks veg!
our next round of pk phenos 1 &2 have been in veg for about 8 weeks in a fluro box with no ventilation and sparadic waterings, but they are all tri headed 16"ers. One or two got bigger pots and are in the 5-6 main cola range. I think this round is not going to be topped or trained in flower. we Have to train in veg, as the box itself is only 2feet tall minus the fluro size and pot size, so everyone is pressed against the roof lol
But as youve shown, and what ive seen in the past, pk needs to be left alone in flower if we want large main colas. Il show an upskirt of the 2 kush ladies we have currently, as they were so mangled and decrepid when we recieved them. Thier stems have been trained in the strangest fashion, because of this both plants spent a lot of energy on little nugs and not a huge main cola.

edit: thanks PD, im not a huge fan of pics with the hps on, but hey i figured id them for an idea of how cramped the box became :)

They stretched fairly decent, but I defoilated them just before flowering and at day 21. they seem to like it, but I need to find the secret of getting them nuggets to touch. I have a similar setup as you so I know your pain on being cramped.

i have to tell you, i just peeked at your gallery,
Sour bubble is like one of my top all time wish list strains.
I smoked bog bubble WAY back, one of the first herbs i smoked in my youth in the mid 90's. Also, about ten years back I was graced with some outdoor SB from seed, unfortunately the batch (of herb) I recieved had mixed buds from different phenos, and it was clear that the best bud/pheno had been saved by the grower for himself, it was fantastic.. but the majority of it was airy and lackluster. I have always droooooled over shots of SB and all its excellent BX's. Ive always been really impressed by BOG's breeding and gear.

very very nice job on her my friend, tell me you keep her around, or at least saved urself some beans..

Both and still working on getting her ramped up...I lost my mother, but a friend gave me one of his and I guess I will start with that one. I will try to monocrop her as soon as the clones root and veg a bit.. I want to find a way to combine both phenos i have....

Try coloidial silver? seen decent results from DIY silver particle makers, and then used as a spray to induce hermaphroditing. Or dig some beans and get a sb male.... both could be interesting results, but the later being more fruitful if you have the long term breeding capacity/ability/time...also a hybrid to a male of a more sativa leaning nature could be really exceptional imo.

I thought of that, but I think I will instead find a suitable strain to cross and then back cross her with and then use the best rep to cross to the other. It will be more fun that way.....and more work I'm sure.

Yea that would definitly be my approach as well

maybe if u used bogglegum, or bubblegum you could try to isolate some of the faster growing traits to pass off to the already resinous stinky sourbub?
