I'm sure many of us who live in places where they have things like mega million lottos has had the dream of what they would do if they hit one of those big jackpots worth over 100 Million. I know I have had that fantasy anyway.

Well I was thinking about it recently and I got to wondering about what it would be like to come into sudden wealth like that and what would be the first thing I would do with it. Well at first I thought of things like new home, new car, lavish vacation, etc. Then I got to thinking though that hey, with over 100 million all that sort of stuff would come and so knowing that what would I put at the top of the list, what would be more important to me then anything else knowing I'll be able to satisfy all or most of my desires whenever I want. What I ended up with was taking care of health issues that I've neglected or can't afford. Like I got a partial denture now and can't really afford good regular dental care which means the teeth left will eventually go bad and one day I might end up with a full set of dentures. If I could afford it though I'd get a full set of dental implants.

Anyway that's what I would do first if I won over 100 Million dollars knowing that the next day or week or month I could go get or do pretty much whatever I wanted. So what would you do?

dude this thread is crazy, I have never been one to play the lotto, always had the mind set of anything I want I can get for myself. this was true when in my early 20's I cracked six digits...

but now I am on disability and here's my math:
$5 weekly = $260 yearly times 30 years is only $7800 dollars in a life time or 3rd of a life time, you playing years.

So just do it, take a risk, play the same numbers and you're only out less than $8000 in a typical life time of playing

ok so what would I do:
see the world, nothing is more valuable
learn everything I have wanted to know, now that the time and denero is there
fulfill my bucket list
help out friends and family in a meaning way, like help were it matters.

Relax, don't spend it all at once, and ponder an easier life style...

what say you????????

Pay off all immediate family debts. Make a number of good, sound investments for the future of my family's financial security. Then spend more time on my 'hobbies'....

I wouldn't do anything different, I'd keep working, trying to save money and getting on with a normal life. BULLSHIT, no more work for me, I'd party hard, spend big and have the time of my life. Probably die in the process but who gives a fuck, it would be great.

I'd get my family out of debt, charity and then buy a ton of land and have a trolley that ran across the entire span...(1000 acres) and blaze and ride the trolley all day.

I would buy the Delta Queen Riverboat and sail up and down the Mississippi River.

I'd invite Martha Stewart over for a special dinner. Little does Martha know that she has to be my cook the entire trip or not eat. lol

I'll just stay out in the middle of the river tell her it's some sailing diffiulty or something

I already have a plan!

If i ever came into an extraordinary amount of money (more than 5 million), it would be spent in this order:

- Pay off all debts (me, immediate family, inlaws, etc.)
- Do research and locate 3 prime locations for homes (PA for family, Montana as my base and maybe an off-shoot home in Cali)
- Equip each home to be fully solar powered, geothermal, wind, etc. Enough power to supply each home adequately along with a 2,000w grow. Install water purification systems and wells. Wall-in each home with thick concrete walls, reinforced with rebar, with barbed wire all around. Security cameras connected to a local internet network available to be viewed throughout the home.
- Have family quit their jobs and allow them to stay at 2/3 homes and say everything will be paid for all bills except you have to farm - employ family to begin farming (vegetables, fruit trees, chickens, etc.)
- Amass an arsenal of weapons (rifles, shotguns, pistols, submachine guns, assault rifles) with a large cache of ammo.
- Install a bunker that has air purification, water purification and enough food to last a family of 10 for 1 year.
- Install military-banking grade safes into the ground inside the home only accessible through a secret entrance and crawl space and store within it foreign currency, gold, silver, ammo, alcohol, medical supplies, etc.

After my home bases are completed, I'd purchase a private jet as my primary means of transportation other than a car. I'd buy a few exotic cars and setup a refueling station at home bases with 1000+ gallons of gas stored underground in case of emergency (national crisis, martial law, etc.)

After all that, party in california for weeks, do massive amounts of drugs and live like there would be no tomorrow.

I say that's several things and you never answered the question of which has the top priority knowing you'll be able to do all of it in relatively short order.

I would open a cannabis research center offering all of the remaining winnings as research grants. :)

First I'd make donations to get marijuana law reformed

Then most of my family gets lifetime financial security.

I'd send a check to anyone that ever made me smile. I feel it's only fair.. They made me happy so I should return the favor

Every local animal shelter around me would be setup for life.

Donations to a dozen charities.

Then I'd buy 1000 acres, and never see any of you again. :tiphat:
